Installing the Full Liquid Cooling Cabinet
You must wear protective gloves to prevent injury during operations.
Procedure
- Unpack the packing case.
- Check whether the packaging and seals are in good condition.
If the package is soaked or deformed, or the seals or pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes are not intact, submit the Cargo Problem Feedback Form.
- Open the packaging.
Use the box cutter with care, ensuring that the knife edge is not completely inserted into the package. Otherwise, the device may get damaged.

- Lower the leveling feet, and roll the cabinet down the ramp.Figure 3-34 Rolling the cabinet down the ramp
- Check whether the packaging and seals are in good condition.
- Use a pressure gauge to check the air tightness of the pipe in the cabinet.
- Connect the female quick connect coupling in the tool kit to the male quick connect coupling of the manifold on the cabinet.
- Check whether the pressure value is greater than or equal to 0.1 bars.
- If yes, the air tightness is normal.
- If no, contact Huawei technical support to check the air tightness.
- Install the liquid-cooled cabinet base.
You need to check whether the floor in the equipment room meets the load-bearing requirements. If the floor does not meet the load-bearing requirements, you need to prepare a load-bearing base for the cabinet. For details, see Figure 3-35.
The cabinet must be placed on the raised floor. The height of the floor is greater than 600 mm (23.62 in.). The cabinet cannot be placed on the concrete floor.
- (Optional) Drill an 800 cm x 400 cm (314.96 in. x 157.48 in.) square hole. Edge of the hole is 120 cm (47.25 in.) away from the front of the cabinet.Figure 3-36 Cutting a hole on the cabinet base
- (Optional) Place the cabinet onto the base and raise the leveling feet until the casters hang in the air.
If there are multiple cabinets, combine them.
Figure 3-37 Raising the leveling feet - Fix the cabinet onto the base.
Before fixing the cabinet, use a level to adjust the cabinet to ensure that the cabinet is horizontal.
Figure 3-38 Securing the cabinet - Lead the PDU plugs out of the cabinet through a hole at the top of the cabinet.
- Connect the ground cable to the cabinet.
There are two M8 ground points on the top of the cabinet. Connect the ground point that is close to the protection ground of the equipment room to the equipment room.

This step needs to be performed only when you configure a built-in CDU box for the cabinet. For details about how to install the CDU, see the documents provided by the CDU vendor.
