Installing a Solenoid Valve
Procedure
- Determine the position for installing the solenoid valve.
- The solenoid valve is installed on the water inlet side (cold water side) of the cabinet.
- The one-way valve and solenoid valve must be used together.
- Install the solenoid valve.
- A solenoid valve module consists of a valve controller and an electric actuator. You can replace only the faulty component.
- The solenoid valves of the air/liquid heat exchanger and manifolds are installed on the water inlet side and are installed in the same way. The following describes how to install the solenoid valve of the heat exchanger.
- (Optional) Install the solenoid valve controller.
- Take out a new solenoid valve controller.
- Check the directions of the position indicator and knob of the solenoid valve controller and determine the direction based on the following rules: When the solenoid valve is in the current state, if the lever is rotated clockwise, the valve is closed; if the lever is rotated counterclockwise, the valve is open.
- Check the position indicator status and lever direction. When the lever is parallel to the water flow, the valve is fully open, as shown in Figure 5-16.
- Check the position indicator status and lever direction. When the lever is vertical to the water flow, the valve is fully closed, as shown in Figure 5-17.
- Remove the handle and re-install it in a direction parallel to the water flow.
- Install the solenoid valve controller and ensure that the handle is in the same direction as the water flow. Figure 5-18 Installing the solenoid valve controller
- Install and tighten the bolt. Figure 5-19 Tightening the solenoid valve controller
- Check that the position indicator is in the correct position.Figure 5-20 Checking the position of the position indicator (When the lever is parallel to the water flow, the valve is fully open.)
- (Optional) Install the solenoid valve electric actuator.
- Take out a new electric actuator.
- Use the torque wrench to secure the solenoid valve electric actuator.Figure 5-21 Installing a solenoid valve
- Connect all cables to the solenoid valve.
Ensure that the CCU connector, solenoid valve extension cable, solenoid valve cable, solenoid valve controller, and actuator comply with the labels.
- Open the ball valves for the water inlet pipes of the primary side and the air/liquid heat exchanger.
