Managing ISO Files
This chapter describes how to manage ISO image files.
Uploading an ISO File
Before creating a VM, you need to upload the corresponding installation media. This section describes how to upload an ISO file to the current controller.
Procedure
- Choose
VM >
ISO > ISO.
- Click Upload.
The Upload ISO File dialog box is displayed.
- Click Select…, select the ISO file, and click OK.
The name of the select ISO file must meet the following requirements:
- Contains 5 to 63 characters.
- Can contain only digits, letters, underscores (_), hyphens (-), and periods (.), and must end with extension iso or ISO.
- Click Upload.
An upload progress bar is displayed.
- After the progress reaches 100% and an upload success message is prompted, click Close.
Viewing ISO File Information
This section describes how to view basic information about an existing ISO file.
Prerequisites
At least one ISO file exists.
Procedure
- Choose
VM>
ISO> ISO.
- In the function pane on the left, view the LUN information. Table 7-1 describes related parameters.
Copying an ISO File
This section describes how to copy an ISO file from a source VM container to a target VM container so that the file can be used in the target VM container.
Prerequisites
The target VM container does not have a file with the same name of the source ISO file.
Procedure
- Choose
VM>
ISO> ISO.
- Select the desired ISO file and click Copy.
The Copy ISO File dialog box is displayed.
The name of the select ISO file must meet the following requirements:
- Contains 5 to 63 characters.
- Can contain only digits, letters, underscores (_), hyphens (-), and periods (.), and must end with extension iso or ISO.
- Select the ISO file to be copied.
- Click
.
The Select ISO File dialog box is displayed.
- In the ISO file list, select the ISO file to be copied.
The owning VM container of the ISO file is used as the source VM container for copying. Copy the ISO file to the target VM container.
- Click OK.
- Click
- Perform the copy operation.
- Click Copy. You can view the copy progress according to the progress bar.
- After the copy is complete, click Close.
Deleting an ISO File
This section describes how to delete an ISO file that is no longer needed.
Precautions
If the ISO file is uploaded by an SFTP client and its name does not meet the requirements, delete it on the SFTP client.
Procedure
- Choose
VM>
ISO> ISO.
- Select the desired ISO file and click Delete.
The name of the select ISO file must meet the following requirements:
- Contains 5 to 63 characters.
- Can contain only digits, letters, underscores (_), hyphens (-), and periods (.), and must end with extension iso or ISO.
- Confirm the ISO file deletion operation.
- Confirm the information in the dialog box and select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation .
- Click OK.
The Execution Result dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation is successful.
- Click Close.
