Powering on a VM
This section describes how to power on a VM.
Prerequisites
- The VM has been powered off.
- For V500R007C71 and later versions, valid VM VNC server and client certificates are available in the storage system.
Context
- For V500R007C71 and later versions, the default VM VNC server and client certificates have been imported to the storage system. Ensure that the certificates are valid. If no certificate exists, or certificates have expired or been revoked, VMs cannot be powered on and the VM console cannot be opened.
- You can view information about the imported certificate files on DeviceManager. To be specific, choose
Settings>
Storage Settings > Value-added Service Settings > Credential Management.
- You can import the desired VM VNC server and client certificates by following instructions in How Can I Generate and Import VM VNC Server and Client Certificate Files? Ensure that the same CA certificate is imported for the VM VNC client and server certificates.
Procedure
- Log in to DeviceManager.
- Choose
VM >
VM.
- Select the VM and click Power On.
The Execution Result dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.
- Click Close.
