Naming an iSCSI Device and an iSCSI Initiator
An iSCSI device name or iSCSI initiator name contains the default part and user-defined part. Only the user-defined part can be modified. An iSCSI target name is dynamically generated based on the iSCSI device name and identifier of a specific port. For details about how an iSCSI target name is generated, contact maintenance personnel for your site.
