Deleting a LUN
This operation enables you to delete a LUN to reclaim storage resources.
Prerequisites
- Services on the LUN have been stopped and no value-added services are configured on the LUN.
- The LUN is not added to any LUN group.
Procedure
- Log in to DeviceManager.
- Choose
Provisioning >
LUN.
- Select the LUN you want to delete and click Delete.
The security alert dialog box is displayed.
- Confirm the LUN deletion.
- Confirm the information in the dialog box and select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation.
- Click OK.
The Execution Result dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.
- Click Close.

After deleting a LUN, rescan for LUN information on the host to prevent the impact of residual LUN information on the host.
