Activating a Snapshot Group
This operation activates the existing snapshot group to flexibly and frequently generate data copies at multiple points in time, facilitating quick data recovery.
Prerequisites
- Running Status of the snapshot group is Unactivated.
- The storage pool where the source LUN group of the snapshot group resides has sufficient space to store snapshot data.
- The capacity usage of the storage pool does not exceed the capacity alarm threshold. Otherwise, the snapshot group will fail to be activated.
Procedure
- Log in to DeviceManager.
- Choose
Data Protection >
Snapshot > LUN Group/Application.
- Click LUN group.
- In the upper function pane, select a snapshot group and choose More > Activate.
The security alert dialog box is displayed.
- Confirm the operation.
- Confirm the information in the dialog box, and select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation.
- Click OK.
The Execution Result dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.
- Click Close.
