Creating a Snapshot Group
This section describes how to create a snapshot for a LUN group.
Prerequisites
A LUN group has been created.
Procedure
- Log in to DeviceManager.
- Choose
Data Protection >
Snapshot > LUN Group/Application.
- Click LUN group.
- In the function pane, click Create.
The Create Snapshot dialog box is displayed.
- Select the LUN group for which you want to create a snapshot and set related parameters. Table 2-3 describes the related parameters.Table 2-3 Parameters of a snapshot group

Name
Name of a snapshot group.
- The name must be unique.
- It contains only letters, digits, periods (.), underscores (_), and hyphens (-).
- It contains 1 to 31 characters.
Description
Description of a snapshot group.
Activate Now
If this option is selected, a snapshot group is activated immediately after creation.
- Confirm the operation.
- Click OK.
The Execution Result dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.
- Click Close.
- Click OK.
Data Protection >
Snapshot > LUN Group/Application.
