Modifying the General Properties of an Application-based Snapshot
This operation allows you to view the general properties of a snapshot and modify its name and description.
Prerequisites
At least one application-based snapshot has been created in the system.
Procedure
- Log in to DeviceManager.
- Choose
Data Protection >
Snapshot > LUN Group/Application.
- From the drop-down list in the upper area of the function pane, select an application type.
- In the upper area of the function pane, select the snapshot you want to modify and click Properties on the menu bar.
The Properties of Snapshot dialog box is displayed.
- Modify the general properties of the snapshot.
Table 5-6 describes the related parameters.

- The name must be unique.
- The name contains letters, digits, underscores (_), periods (.), and hyphens (-).
- The name contains 1 to 31 characters.
