Deleting a Snapshot Group
Deleting a snapshot group releases the resources occupied by it.
Prerequisites
Running Status of the snapshots in the snapshot group is Unactivated. If it is not, deactivate the snapshots.
Precautions
When a snapshot LUN is used as the source LUN of a LUN copy, the snapshot in the snapshot group cannot be deleted.
Procedure
- Log in to DeviceManager.
- Choose
Data Protection >
Snapshot > LUN Group/Application.
- Click LUN group.
- In the function pane, select a snapshot group and click Delete on the menu bar.
The security alert dialog box is displayed.
- Confirm the operation.
- Confirm the information in the dialog box, select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation, and click OK.
The Execution Result dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.
- Click Close.
- Confirm the information in the dialog box, select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation, and click OK.
