Modifying the General Properties of a Snapshot
This operation allows you to view the general properties of a snapshot and modify its name and description.
Prerequisites
At least one snapshot has been created on the storage system.
Procedure
- Log in to DeviceManager.
- Choose
Data Protection >
Snapshot > LUN.
- In the function pane, select the snapshot that you want to modify and click Properties on the menu bar.
The Properties of Snapshot dialog box is displayed.
- Modify the general properties of the snapshot.
- Click the General tab.
- Modify the general properties of the snapshot.
Table 3-2 describes the related parameters.

- The name must be unique.
- The name contains letters, digits, underscores (_), periods (.), and hyphens (-).
- The name contains 1 to 31 characters.

The Execution Result dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.
- Click Close.
