Deactivating a Snapshot Group
If the capacity of the storage pool where a source LUN resides is insufficient, you can deactivate the snapshot group to release the capacity occupied by snapshot data copies for other snapshot tasks.
Prerequisites
Running Status of the snapshots in the snapshot group is Activated.
Procedure
- Log in to DeviceManager.
- Choose
Data Protection >
Snapshot > LUN Group/Application.
- Click LUN group.
- In the upper function pane, select a snapshot group and choose More > Deactivate.
The security alert dialog box is displayed.
- Confirm the operation.
- Confirm the information in the dialog box, select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation, and click OK.
The Execution Result dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.
- Click Close.
- Confirm the information in the dialog box, select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation, and click OK.
