Reactivating a Snapshot
This operation enables you to manually cancel an activated snapshot and reactivate it at the current point in time, so that the snapshot records the latest data state of the source LUN.
Prerequisites
- At least one snapshot has been created on the storage system.
- All services on the snapshot have been stopped.
Procedure
- Log in to DeviceManager.
- Choose
Data Protection >
Snapshot > LUN.
- In the function pane, select the snapshot you want to reactivate and choose More > Reactivate on the menu bar.
The security alert dialog box is displayed.
- Confirm the reactivation of the snapshot.
- Confirm the information in the dialog box, select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation, and click OK.
The Execution Result dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.
- Click Close.
- Confirm the information in the dialog box, select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation, and click OK.
