Stopping Snapshot Rollback
After you stop the rollback of an application-based snapshot, the snapshot becomes available. However, the application's data is incomplete. That is, the application's LUNs are not restored to the data state preserved by the snapshot at the last activation point in time.
Prerequisites
- At least one application-based snapshot has been created in the system.
- Running Status of each LUN's snapshot included in the application-based snapshot is Rolling back.
Context
Rolling back an application-based snapshot rolls back all of the snapshots contained in the snapshot group. Once the rollback is stopped, all of the snapshots in the snapshot group are activated. However, data on the source LUNs is incomplete. That is, the source LUNs are not restored to the data state preserved by the snapshot at the last activation point in time.
Procedure
- Log in to DeviceManager.
- Choose
Data Protection >
Snapshot > LUN Group/Application.
- From the drop-down list in the upper area of the function pane, select an application type.
- In the upper area of the function pane, select the snapshot you want to stop rolling back and choose More > Stop Rollback on the menu bar.
The security alert dialog box is displayed.
- Confirm the snapshot rollback.
- Confirm the information in the dialog box, select I have read the previous information and understood consequences of the operation, and click OK.
The Execution Result dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.
- Click Close.
- Confirm the information in the dialog box, select I have read the previous information and understood consequences of the operation, and click OK.
