How Can I Identify Host Services Running on the System Subrack?
The following describes how to identify host services running on a system subrack and provides a reference for stopping services before you replace a system subrack.
- Log in to DeviceManager of the storage system.
- Determine disk domains involved in the system subrack.
- Determine file systems and LUNs contained in those disk domains.
- In the navigation tree, click
Provisioning.
- In the Storage Configuration and Optimization area, click
Storage Pool.
- Select all storage pools that belong to disk domains in Step 2.4. In the function pane below, view and record file systems and LUNs of which Mapping is Mapped.
- In the navigation tree, click
- Determine share paths to which these file systems map.
- In the navigation tree, click
Provisioning.
- In the File Storage Service area, click
Share.
- In the function pane, check whether all file systems in Step 3.3 exist. View and record the share path. Stop the services running on the share path on the host.
- In the navigation tree, click
- Determine the hosts to which these LUNs map.
- In the navigation tree, click
Provisioning.
- In the Block Storage Service area, click
Host.
- Select the hosts of which Added to Host Group is Yes. In the Mapped LUNs tab below, check whether the LUNs that have been recorded exist.
- If yes, there are services related to the system subrack running on this host. Stop the services running on the LUN of the host.
- If no, go to Step 3.3 until the services on all recorded LUNs are stopped on the host. Then replace the system subrack.
