The OceanStor 2810 V5 storage system employs a highly reliable design to achieve a long mean time between failures (MTBF), ensuring the high availability of storage applications.
In-Service Routine Maintenance
Routine maintenance of traditional storage system, for example, replacing components, expanding capacity, and relocating disks, typically involved interrupting ongoing services. The OceanStor 2810 V5 storage system uses the following technologies for in-service routine maintenance:
- Turbo Module technology
Enables online replacement of components and requires no system restart.
- Online capacity expansion
Allows online addition of disks to storage pools for smooth capacity expansion.
Tolerance of Single Points of Failures
All hardware components of the OceanStor 2810 V5 storage system are redundant. If a component fails, the other takes over its services.
