Enabling the Function of Reporting Data to iMaster NCE-Campus
Context
The performance data and other data of campus network devices can be reported to iMaster NCE-Campus. In this manner, iMaster NCE-Campus can monitor device and terminal information in real time, learn the device status based on the reported alarms and logs, and display the device and network health status on the GUI.
On large- and medium-sized campus networks, data of switches, WACs, and Fit APs is reported. The data reporting function of the switch can be enabled on iMaster NCE-Campus, while that of the WAC and Fit AP must be enabled on the WAC's web system.
For a switch that does not support the Real-Time Clock (RTC) function, if the NTP server with which the switch synchronizes its system time is faulty or the switch is disconnected from the NTP server, after the switch is powered off and restarted, the system time of the switch is set to the last time when data is saved to the switch's flash memory. In this case, the collection time of switch performance data displayed on iMaster NCE-Campus is the time when the switch is rebooted, not the actual data collection time. In this scenario, rectify the NTP server fault or network fault to restore NTP time synchronization. Then, the reported data can be properly displayed.
