Activating a License

Context

Huawei CloudCampus Solution provides the N1 business model by combining the software of multiple product components into different packages tailored to typical scenarios, simplifying software product transactions. In large or midsize campus network scenarios, customers can obtain licenses based on the sales mode they have chosen. For the N1 business model, you can obtain a license according to the following procedures herein. For other business models (product-specific purchase), obtain a license according to the license guide of the corresponding product.

• In the CloudCampus Solution for large- and medium-sized campus networks, software is deployed on-premises, and iMaster NCE-Campus uses the global permanent license mode.
• The N1 business model currently supports only the on-premises scenario. In this business model, iMaster NCE-Campus obtains a global permanent license.
• If a license in the N1 business model contains authorization items for NEs, the NEs do not need to load additional licenses.

  To obtain the ESN of iMaster NCE-Campus, log in to iMaster NCE-Campus as the system administrator and choose System > Administrator > License Management. On the License Management page, click the License File tab and click Obtain ESN.

  If iMaster NCE-Campus is interconnected with iMaster NCE-CampusInsight, the ESN obtained from the iMaster NCE-Campus system UI contains the ESN information of iMaster NCE-CampusInsight and can be used to obtain the license of iMaster NCE-CampusInsight. In addition, you can load the license file of iMaster NCE-CampusInsight on the iMaster NCE-Campus web UI. After the license file is loaded, you need to manually synchronize the license data to iMaster NCE-CampusInsight.

Procedure

The following describes how to obtain the license of iMaster NCE-Campus. The method of obtaining the license of iMaster NCE-CampusInsight is similar and will not be described here.

1. Visit http://app.huawei.com/sdp/portal.html and choose Order Management > Entitlement Management to access the Entitlement Management page.
2. On the Entitlement Management page, search for entitlement information based on the Huawei contract number, click Product Name to sort by product, and select all entries corresponding to iMaster NCE-Campus.

3. Click Next to go to the Bind ESN step. Set Binding Type to In batch and Merge to Merge.

4. In the Equipment (Node) area on the left, click Add. On the Add Equipment (Node) tab page, enter the information about the corresponding software product. Then click OK.

5. In the Equipment (Node) area on the left, select the product. Then click Match in the Entitlement area on the right.

6. Click Next. On the Confirm Activation page, click Entitlement Details to check whether the license authorization information is correct.

7. Click Activate License. On the Download page, click Download to download the activated license file.

8. After obtaining the license file, log in to iMaster NCE-Campus as the system administrator and load the license file. Choose System > Administrator > License Management. On the License Management page, click the License File tab, and click Upload License. After the license file is uploaded, you can view the resource control items on the License Information tab page.
