Rules of Emergency Maintenance
This section describes the rules of emergency maintenance.
An emergency is likely to cause wide-spread Internet access failure, device breakdown, service interruption, or other severe consequences, which pose great hazards. To improve emergency handling efficiency and minimize losses, users must observe the following basic rules before performing maintenance:
- Perform daily running maintenance to ensure stable running of devices and minimize the chance of emergencies.
- Emergency maintenance must be centered around fast restoration of device running and services. To improve emergency handling efficiency, users should formulate different emergency plans based on this manual and organize routine training and drills.
- Maintenance personnel must be given essential pre-job training in emergency maintenance that teaches them how to determine an emergency as well as basic skills in emergency handling.
- In an emergency, maintenance personnel must keep calm, checking hardware devices and routers for running abnormalities and determining whether the fault is caused by iMaster NCE-Campus. If so, refer to the maintenance procedure in this manual to handle the fault.
- To protect important data of CF cards, never format the CF cards before Huawei technical service personnel provide support.
- In an emergency, maintenance personnel should contact Huawei customer service center or the local office immediately to obtain technical support from Huawei.
- After an emergency is handled, collect alarm information about the devices relevant to the incident and send incident handling reports, alarm files, and log files to Huawei for analysis and fault locating, allowing Huawei to provide better after-sales service for carriers.
