How Is the Unified Expiration Time of Tenant Subscription Licenses Calculated?
Question
How is the unified expiration time of tenant subscription licenses calculated?
Answer
Unifying the expiration time for tenant subscription licenses indicates that resource items are set to expire at the same time. This facilitates resource adjustment and management. This function enables resource allocation to be more flexible and resources that are in arrears to be consumed normally through resource integration.
Under a tenant, the expiration time of device licenses of the same device type is automatically recalculated when settlement is performed on a daily basis.
Under a tenant, the expiration time of device licenses of different device types is not automatically recalculated. To unify the expiration time, log in to iMaster NCE-Campus as a tenant administrator, choose from the main menu, access the license management page, and click Recalculate Expiration Time.
For example, there are three types of license resource items: AR100 series, 10 device-day, with 5 CNY per device-day; AR1200 series, 20 device-day, with 10 CNY per device-day; and indoor AP series, 20 device-day with 20 CNY per device-day. Assume that iMaster NCE-Campus is managing five AR100 series devices and ten AR1200 series devices. You can click Recalculate Expiration Time to integrate resources. The formulas are as follows: 10 x 5 + 20 x 10 + 20 x 20 = 650, 5 x 5 + 10 x 10 = 125 (consumption of all devices in a day), 650/125 = 5 R 25 (remainder 25). Then the license resources of the AR100 and AR1200 series devices will expire in five days. The remaining 25 CNY will be added to the new license resource pool and used in the next calculation.
The expiration time of the common series resources is not recalculated.
