Independent Remote Console is a remote control tool developed by Huawei based on the server management software iBMC. The independent remote console offers the same functions as the Remote Virtual Control function of the iBMC web UI. With the independent remote console, you can access and manage the server in real time. The independent remote console does not depend on the browser or JRE version.
Use the independent remote console to remotely access a server from a client running Windows.
- Download the latest version independent remote console software package from https://support.huawei.com/enterprise/en/management-software/fusionserver-tools-pid-21015513/software to the client (such as a PC) and decompressed it.Table 6-5 Client OS configuration requirements

How do I set a BIOS password?

- Log in to the remote console window. For details, see How Do I Log In to a Server Using the Integrated Remote Console?.
- On the top of Remote Virtual Console, click
on the toolbar and select Forced System Reset. In the dialog box that is displayed, click Yes to restart the server.
- When the screen shown in Figure 6-5 is displayed, press Delete to enter the BIOS Setup screen and enter the BIOS password.
- Enter the administrator password to go to the administrator screen. If you enter incorrect passwords for three consecutive times, the system will be locked and can be unlocked after a restart.
- Press ← or → to choose the Security tab, as shown in Figure2 Security.
- Choose Set Supervisor Password and press Enter to set a login password for the administrator. You need to enter the original password before setting an administrator password.
An administrator password must be a string of 8 to 16 characters, and contain special characters (including spaces), uppercase and lowercase letters, and digits. The password must contain special characters and at least two types of other characters.
- Press F10. In the Save configuration and exit? dialog box, choose Y to save the settings.
