Application Scenarios and Service Requirements
Application Scenario
This document applies to scenarios where a large number of small branches need to communicate with multiple HQs/DCs and with each other. In this example, multiple HQs are deployed. Multiple uplinks are deployed between the HQs and branches. Intelligent traffic steering needs to be configured to preferentially transmit data on the optimal link based on service needs. In addition, automatic link switchover and switchback are required.
Service Requirements
You are advised to use the multi-campus EVPN Interconnection Solution in the following scenarios:
- A network is deployed across multiple regions, or there are multiple headquarters sites, requiring cross-region interconnection across layers.
- Multiple uplinks are available for branches to access the headquarters, and multiple tunnels work in active/standby or load balancing mode based on different links.
- An enterprise has multiple service departments, between which services need to be isolated.
- Application- and link quality–based intelligent traffic steering and automatic switchback are required.
