Querying the IP Address of the Management Network Port
Methods
You can obtain the IP address using any of the following methods:
- Obtain the default IP address.
- Use the iBMC WebUI.
- Use the BIOS. For details, see Procedure.
- Log in to the iBMC CLI through the serial port, and run the ipmcget -d ipinfo to query the IP address of the management network port. For details, see Atlas 800 Training Server iBMC (V3.01.00.00 or Later) User Guide (Model 9000).
Default IP Address
The default IP address of the iBMC management network port is 192.168.2.100. After logging in to the iBMC WebUI, you can change the IP address of the iBMC management network port. For details, see Changing the IP Address of the iBMC Management Network Port.
Procedure
- Connect the mouse and keyboard to two USB ports on the device.
- Use a VGA cable to connect a monitor to the VGA port on the device.
- Restart the OS to restart the device.
- When the screen shown in Figure 7-1 is displayed, press Delete or F4 to enter the BIOS Setup screen.
- Enter the BIOS password when prompted.
The device will be locked after three consecutive failures with wrong passwords. You can restart the device to unlock it.
- Choose Advanced > IPMI iBMC Configuration > iBMC Config, and press Enter.
The iBMC Config screen is displayed. See Figure 7-2 and Figure 7-3.
