Logical Structure
Figure 1-3 shows the logical structure of the device.
- The device integrates four Kunpeng 920 processors, and each processor supports 8 DDR4 DIMMs.
- The server supports standard RAID controller cards, which are connected to the drive backplane through SAS signal cables.
- The iBMC uses Huawei developed management processors and provides a video graphics array (VGA) port, management network port, and debug serial port.
- The device integrates two Ascend 910 NPU boards. Each NPU board connects to the CPU mainboard through four PCIe 4.0 x16 links.
- The Ascend 910 NPU board supports four Ascend 910 NPU processors. Each two processors support one FlexIO card B. The FlexIO card B supports one type of card (2 x 100GE), which is connected to the NPU through the high-speed SerDes interface.
- Each NPU provides up to 90 GB/s bandwidth. Four NPUs are connected in Full Mesh mode. The bandwidth between two NPUs is 60 GB/s (bidirectional).
