(Optional) Front Bezel
The front bezel is installed on the front panel and comes with a security lock to prevent unauthorized operations on drives.
Removing the Front Bezel
- Wear an ESD wrist strap. For details, see ESD Protection.
- Insert the key and turn it clockwise to unlock the bezel, and remove the key. See (1) and (2) in Figure 5-26.
- Press the release button and remove the bezel. See (1) and (2) in Figure 5-27.
- Keep the key properly.
Installing the Front Bezel
- Wear an ESD wrist strap. For details, see ESD Protection.
- Align and insert the left end of the bezel onto the server. Press the release button and fit the right end of the bezel onto the server. See (1), (2), and (3) in Figure 5-28.
- The bezel is optional and can be selected as required.
- The bezel is unlocked when delivered, and the key is in the inner side of the front bezel.
- Lock the front bezel by turning the key counterclockwise and remove the key. See (1) and (2) in Figure 5-29.
- Keep the key properly.
