FlexIO Cards
The FlexIO cards supported by the device can be replaced in the same way. This section uses TM272 as an example.
Removing a FlexIO Card
- Wear an ESD wrist strap. For details, see ESD Protection.
- Power off the device. For details, see Powering Off the Server.
- Determine the positions of FlexIO cards. See Figure 5-98.
- Remove network cables, or optical modules and optical cables from the FlexIO card.
- Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screw on the FlexIO card. Slowly pull out the FlexIO card. See (1) and (2) in Figure 5-99.
- Place the removed FlexIO card in an ESD bag.
- If you do not want to install another FlexIO card immediately, install a filler panel. See Figure 5-100.
Installing a FlexIO Card
- Remove the filler panel. See Figure 5-101.
- Take a spare FlexIO card out of its ESD bag.
- Insert the FlexIO card into the slot and push it into the chassis until it cannot be pushed any further. Check whether the captive screw is securely attached to the rear panel. See (1) in Figure 5-102.
- Tighten the screw using the Phillips screwdriver to secure the FlexIO card. See (2) in Figure 5-102.
- Connect network cables, or optical modules and optical cables to the FlexIO card.
- Power on the device. For details, see Powering On the Server.
- Log in to the iBMC WebUI, and check whether the new component is normal. For details, see the Atlas 800 AI Training Server iBMC Alarm Handling (Models 9000).
