(Optional) TPM/TCM
The TPM/TCM is replaced with the mainboard and cannot be removed onsite.
Installing the TPM/TCM
- Wear an ESD wrist strap. For details, see ESD Protection.
- Power off the device. For details, see Powering Off the Server.
- Remove the power cables and all signal cables.
- Remove the device. For details, see Removing the Device and Guide Rails.
- Remove the chassis cover. For details, see Chassis Cover.
- Remove the air duct and support beam. For details, see Air Duct and Support Beam.
- Determine the position of the TPM/TCM. See Figure 5-49.
- Take a reinforcement module and TPM/TCM out of the ESD bag.
- Rotate the axis of the reinforcement module clockwise. See (1) Figure 5-50.
- Install the TPM/TCM in the reinforcement module. See (2) and (3) in Figure 5-50.
- Rotate the axis of the reinforcement module counterclockwise back to the original position. See (4) in Figure 5-50.
- Install the assembled reinforcement module and TPM on the mainboard, and use a flat-head screwdriver to tighten the screw on the module. See (5) and (6) in Figure 5-50.
- Install the screw protective cap in the round holes on the screw. See (7) in Figure 5-50.
- Install the air duct and support beam. For details, see Air Duct and Support Beam.
- Install the chassis cover. For details, see Chassis Cover.
- Install the device. For details, see Installing the Device and Guide Rails.
- Connect the power cables and all signal cables.
- Power on the device. For details, see Powering On the Server.
- Log in to the iBMC WebUI, and check whether the new component is in normal status. For details, see the Atlas 800 AI Training Server iBMC Alarm Handling (Models 9000).
- Enable the TPM/TCM function.
- To enable the TPM function, perform the following steps:
Access the BIOS.
For details, see the Huawei Atlas Server BIOS Parameter Reference (Kunpeng 920 Processor).
Select Security.
Select TPM Operation and press Enter.
Select Enable.
After the setting is complete, press F10.
The dialog box Exit Saving changes? is displayed.
Click Yes.
Save the settings.
- Restart the device.
The TPM settings take effect after the device is restarted.
- To enable the TCM function, perform the following steps:
- Access the BIOS.
For details, see the Huawei Atlas Server BIOS Parameter Reference (Kunpeng 920 Processor).
- Select Security.
- Select Trusted Platform Support and press Enter.
- Click Yes.
- Select TCM Enabled&Activated and press Enter.
- Click Yes.
- After the setting is complete, press F10.
The system displays "Save Changes&Exit?"
- Click Yes.
Save the settings.
- Restart the device.
The TCM settings take effect after the device is restarted.
- Access the BIOS.
