PSU Box
Removing the PSU Box
- Wear an ESD wrist strap. For details, see ESD Protection.
- Power off the device. For details, see Powering Off the Server.
- Remove the power cables and all signal cables.
- Remove the device. For details, see Removing the Device and Guide Rails.
- Remove the chassis cover. For details, see Chassis Cover.
- Remove the AC PSUs. For details, see AC PSU.
- Loosen the screws that secure the power box. See (1) in Figure 5-92.
- Press the latch on the power box to unlock the power box, open the ejector lever, and pull out the power box upwards. See (2), (3), and (4) in Figure 5-92.
- Place the removed PSU box in an ESD bag.
Installing the PSU Box
- Take a spare PSU box out of its ESD bag.
- Insert the power box into the chassis, and close the ejector lever. See (1) and (2) in Figure 5-93.
- Tighten the screws to secure the power box. See (3) in Figure 5-93.
- Install AC PSUs. For details, see AC PSU.
- Install the chassis cover. For details, see Chassis Cover.
- Install the device. For details, see Installing the Device and Guide Rails.
- Connect the power cables and all signal cables.
- Power on the device. For details, see Powering On the Server.
