PCIe RAID Controller Card
Removing a PCIe RAID Controller Card
- Wear an ESD wrist strap. For details, see ESD Protection.
- Power off the device. For details, see Powering Off the Server.
- Remove the power cables and all signal cables.
- Remove the device. For details, see Removing the Device and Guide Rails.
- Remove the chassis cover. For details, see Chassis Cover.
- Remove the air duct and support beam. For details, see Air Duct and Support Beam.
- Determine the position of the PCIe RAID controller card on the mainboard. See Figure 5-71. The PCIe RAID controller card is installed on riser module 1.
- Hold down the latches on the cables to the PCIe RAID controller card, and remove the cables from the PCIe RAID controller card. For details, see Internal Cabling.
- Remove the riser module 1. For details, see Riser Modules.
- Open the latch on the PCIe RAID controller card. See (1) in Figure 5-72.
- Remove the PCIe RAID controller card. See (2) in Figure 5-72.
- Place the removed PCIe RAID controller card in an ESD bag.
Installing a PCIe RAID Controller Card
- Take a spare PCIe RAID controller card out of its ESD bag.
- Insert the RAID controller card into a PCIe slot. See (1) in Figure 5-73.
- Close the latch. See (2) in Figure 5-73.
- Install the riser module 1. For details, see Riser Modules.
- Connect cables to the PCIe RAID controller card. For details, see Internal Cabling.
- Install the air duct and support beam. For details, see Air Duct and Support Beam.
- Install the chassis cover. For details, see Chassis Cover.
- Install the device. For details, see Installing the Device and Guide Rails.
- Connect the power cables and all signal cables.
- Power on the device. For details, see Powering On the Server.
- Log in to the iBMC WebUI, and check whether the new component is normal. For details, see the Atlas 800 AI Training Server iBMC Alarm Handling (Models 9000).
