Removing an AC PSU
Wear an ESD wrist strap. For details, see ESD Protection.
When the device is fully configured with PSUs, you can remove the PSU without powering off the device. Ensure that the remaining PSUs are working properly and the rated power is greater than or equal to that of the device.
If you remove all power cables when the device is not powered off, programs or unsaved data may be damaged.
Only one PSU can be replaced at a time.
Remove the power cables and all signal cables.
Press the ejector release button on the PSU in the arrow direction, and pull out the PSU by holding the handle. See Figure 5-88.

Place the removed PSU in an ESD bag.
If a new PSU is not installed immediately, install a PSU filler. See Figure 5-89.

Installing an AC PSU
PSUs on the same device must be of the same model.
Use dedicated power cables to ensure equipment and personal safety.
Power cables are used only for dedicated devices.
Connect power cables of active and standby PSUs to different power distribution units (PDUs) to ensure reliable system operating.
Ground equipment before powering it on. Otherwise, high leakage current may cause equipment damage.
Press the ejector release button on the PSU filler panel in the arrow direction and pull out the PSU filler panel. See (1) and (2) in Figure 5-90.

Take a spare AC PSU out of its ESD bag.
Push the spare AC PSU along the guide rails into a slot until the PSU clicks into place. See Figure 5-91.
