Replacing a Fan
Context
Recommended tools: protective gloves, Phillips insulated torque screwdriver, diagonal pliers, cable tie
Procedure
- Tap Shutdown on the home screen of the display module.
Exercise caution because the unit is still energized after it is shut down on the screen of the display module.
- Open the electric control box, and turn off the active power switch QF1 and standby power switch QF2.
- Remove the fan guard.
- Cut off the cable ties that bind the cable connected to the faulty fan, and remove the fan terminal.
- Remove the auxiliary fixture for installing the fan under the electric control box.Figure 10-8 Auxiliary fixture position

- Install the auxiliary fixtures on the fan support using four M6x16 bolts (standard configuration), as shown by (2) in the following figure. Remove the screws that secure the fan support to the equipment frame.Figure 10-9 Removing a fan

- Remove the fan and fan support using the removal fixture at the bottom of the fan support.
- Remove the six screws that secure the fan to the fan support to separate the fan from the fan support.Figure 10-10 Removing the fan support
- Install the new fan and secure it to the fan support. Install the fan support to the original position using the auxiliary fixture, secure the fan terminal using cable ties, and install the fan guard.
- Reinstall the auxiliary fixture for the fan.
- Power on the unit and tap Start on the home screen. Ensure that the unit is running normally without any alarms.
- On the home screen, choose Performance Maintenance screen and clear the runtime of the faulty fan. to enter the
