No Information Displayed on the VGA Monitor After the GRUB Phase
If SPCR is set to Enabled on the Advanced screen of the BIOS, data is output through the serial port instead of the VGA port. To resolve the problem, disable serial port redirection. Perform the following steps:
- During the POST phase, press Delete as prompted to enter the BIOS.
- In the Advanced screen, disable SPCR. Figure 4-1 shows the location of the SPCR parameter.
- Press F10.
The system displays "Save configuration changes and exit?" Select Yes and press Enter to save the BIOS settings.
The server automatically restarts.
