Importing the iBMC Trust and Root Certificates
Scenarios
A security alert will be displayed when you log in to the iBMC WebUI using a browser. If you do not want this alert to be displayed, import the trust and root certificates of the iBMC using the browser.
This section uses Internet Explorer 11.0 as an example to describe how to import trust and root certificates of the iBMC.

Conditions
The root and trust certificates to be imported are available.

Procedure
Importing a Trust Certificate
- Open Internet Explorer, and click
.
The dialog box shown in Figure 6-36 is displayed.
- Click the Content tab and select Certificates.
The dialog box shown in Figure 6-37 is displayed.
- Choose Intermediate Certification Authorities > Import.
The dialog box shown in Figure 6-38 is displayed.
- Click Next.
The dialog box shown in Figure 6-39 is displayed.
- Click Browse, select the certificate to be imported from the local PC, and click Next.
- In the dialog box displayed, as shown in Figure 6-40, select the directory in which the certificate is to be stored, and click Next.
- Click Finish.
If The import was successful. is displayed, the certificate is imported successfully.
- Click OK.
Importing a Root Certificate
- Repeat step 1 and step 2.
The dialog box shown in Figure 6-41 is displayed.
- Choose Trusted Root Certification Authorities > Import.
The dialog box shown in Figure 6-42 is displayed.
- Repeat step 4 to step 8 to import the root certificate.
Deselecting Allow active content to run in files on My Computer
This operation takes effect only after you restart the server.
- Click
, and choose Internet Options > Advanced.
The Internet Options window is displayed, as shown in Figure 6-43.
- Deselect Allow active content to run in files on My Computer, and click Apply and then OK.
If the security alert is still displayed after you log in to the iBMC WebUI, restart the browser and log in to the iBMC WebUI.
- If any other issuer is displayed in Issued by in the certificate error message, import the trust certificate of the issuer to shield the security alert.
- For security purposes, periodically update the certificate.
