Basic Operations

Select a language.

On the login page, select the language to be used from the drop-down list.

View server basic information.

Choose Home > More Details > System Info.

The System Info page displays the basic server information, including the product information and information about the processors, memory, network adapters, sensors, and other components.

Obtain online help information.

Click on the iBMC WebUI page.

Query user information.

After you log in to iBMC, click the user name (for example, test) next to in the upper right corner.

The user information is displayed, including the user name, role, IP address, and login time.

Log out of the iBMC WebUI.

Click the user name at the upper right corner of the page and choose Log Out from the drop-down menu.

Power on or off the server OS.

Click to power on or off the server OS.

Green indicates that the server OS is started. Yellow indicates that the server OS is shut down.

Set the UID indicator on the server.

The UID indicator pinpoints the location of the server in a chassis.

Move the cursor to the upper right corner of and select On, Off, or Blink.

If you select Blink, the UID indicator blinks 255 seconds.

Query the severity and quantity of the active alarms of the server.

You can click the severity or quantity to switch to Maintenance > Alarm & SEL > Current Alarms.

• : A critical alarm may power off the server, and even interrupt system services. You must take corrective actions immediately.
• : A major alarm has a major impact on the system. It affects the normal operating of the system or may cause service interruption.
• : A minor alarm has a minor impact on the system, but you need to take corrective actions as soon as possible to prevent a more severe alarm.
