Ascend_monitor Communication Error
Symptom
The software package installation is complete after device restart. Then, the host log message "sendmsg fail:Connection refused" is printed, as shown in Figure 5-16.
Possible Cause
After the device is restarted, if the monitoring process Ascend_monitor tries to connect to a monitored process (such as slogd, sklogd, or log-daemon) and register heartbeat before Ascend_monitor is prepared, the first registration attempt may fail.
Solution
To rectify the fault, perform the following steps:
- Check whether a registration success message is printed following the error message, as shown in Figure 5-17. If yes, no action is required.
- If no registration success message is printed, the process monitoring communication is abnormal. Contact Huawei after-sales engineers.
