Installing Mounting Brackets (For 65-Inch Telepresence Systems Only)
Prerequisites
Before installing the displays, make sure:
- The displays can be powered on correctly and the video sources can be switched without erratic display.
- The installation site is clear, and no obstacles or sharp objects, which may scratch the screens, are around the displays.
Background
The displays are large and heavy. At least two persons are required to lift or move them. Be careful when lifting or moving the displays.
To move the display, lift the entire display. Do not apply force to the screen.
The three displays are identical. The following procedure uses one of the displays as an example.
One bracket needs to be installed for each display.
Procedure
- Lay the display horizontally.
- Place foam or a soft mat on the ground.
Obtain foam padding from the TP conference table packing box or front panel packing box. Figure 5-2 shows how you can take out foam padding from the front panel packing box.
- Place the display on the foam or mat, with its screen facing down.
- Place foam or a soft mat on the ground.
Do not place any heavy objects, such as an electric screwdriver, on the back of the display.
- Assemble the mounting brackets (A-14). Place the horizontal bar on the vertical bars. Then tighten screws to connect them through hole 5 on the horizontal bar and label "30" on the vertical bars, as shown in Figure 5-3.
- Install mounting brackets (A-14).
- Before installing the brackets, ensure that the screws on the joints between horizontal and vertical bars of the brackets have securely tightened.
- Align the brackets (A-14) with the screw holes in the rear of the display. Put the "TOP" end of the bracket upward.
- Install the two screws into hole 10 on both sides at the bottom of each vertical bar. Then install two screws on both sides in the upper part of each vertical bar. Four M8 x 35 hex socket screws are used to secure the mounting brackets, as shown in Figure 5-4.
