Mounting Guide Rail Connecting Tabs
Background
Guide rail connecting tabs and the speaker supports are bundled with the racks during delivery. Remove the guide rail connecting tabs and the speaker supports, and then install them to the racks.
If you use a ladder or any other lifting device when installing the connecting tabs of the upper set of guide rails, balance yourself from falling.
Install two guide rail connecting tabs to the left and right racks each. The methods for installing the guide rail connecting tabs are the same. In the following procedure, the connecting tabs are installed to the left rack.
Procedure
- Remove the speaker supports (A-18) from the center rack.
The center rack has two speaker supports, as shown in Figure 4-7. Cut off the speaker support cable ties to remove the supports (A-18).
- Remove the speaker support (A-18) and the guide rail connecting tabs from the left rack.
The left rack has one speaker support and two guide rail connecting tabs, as shown in Figure 4-8. Cut off the cable ties.
- Install the lower guide rail connecting tab on the left rack.
- On the rack, locate the label "11", which matches the label "11" on the lower guide rail connecting tab.
- Use the hexagon electric screwdriver to tighten two M6 x 16 hex socket screws, as shown in Figure 4-9.
- Install the upper guide rail connecting tab on the left rack.
- On the rack, locate the label "12", which matches the label "12" on the upper guide rail connecting tab.
- Use the hexagon electric screwdriver to tighten two M6 x 16 hex socket screws, as shown in Figure 4-10.
- Install the guide rail connecting tabs on the right rack.
