Setting the BIOS Boot Mode
By default, the boot mode is UEFI. If it is changed to Legacy, change it back to the UEFI mode.
The methods for changing the boot mode are as follows:
- Using the iBMC WebUI
- Log in to the iBMC WebUI.
- Choose System > BIOS Settings > Boot Device, set Boot Mode to UEFI, and click Save.
- Restart the server and access the BIOS.
- Using the BIOS Setup Utility
- Power on the server.
- When the following screen is displayed, press Delete or F4.
- Enter the password as prompted during the startup. The default BIOS password is Admin@9000.
The front page is displayed, as shown in the following figure.
- Use the arrow keys to choose BIOS Configuration.
- Go to the Boot menu and set Boot Type to UEFI Boot.
- Press F10.
The Save Changes&Exit dialog box is displayed.
- Select Yes and press Enter to save the settings.
The server automatically restarts for the settings to take effect.
