Configuring a RAID Array
Configuring a RAID Array
If the OS is to be installed in PCH JBOD mode, skip this section.
If the OS is to be installed in RAID array mode, configure RAID arrays as planned. You are advised to configure RAID arrays with the redundancy function for all RAID controller cards that support the RAID function.
If the RAID controller card supports the JBOD function and this function is enabled by default, you can install the OS without creating a RAID array.
If the RAID controller card supports the JBOD function but this function is disabled by default, you need to enable the JBOD mode or configure a RAID array before installing the OS.
The RAID controller card does not support RAID array configuration in legacy mode. To configure RAID arrays in offline mode, switch to the UEFI mode.
If there are multiple JBOD drives or multiple RAID arrays, you need to set the boot disk.
