Dual Backup Configurations on FusionDirector
Switching Active/Standby Management Modules
This operation is supported only when the local device functions as the active node. When the local device functions as the standby node, perform this operation on the peer device.
- Enter https://FusionDirector IP address in the address box of the browser and press Enter. The FusionDirector login page is displayed.
- Enter the user name and password to log in to FusionDirector.
- Choose to go to the page for managing servers.
- Click the specified iBMC IP address. The server details page is displayed.
- On the edge device details page, click the Dual Backup tab page.
- Select Active/Standby Switchover from the Operations drop-down list on the right.
- Click OK.
If the switchover fails, select Forced Switchover to forcibly switch the active and standby devices.
Disabling Switchover
This operation is supported only when the local device functions as the active node. When the local device functions as the standby node, perform this operation on the peer device.
- Enter https://FusionDirector IP address in the address box of the browser and press Enter. The FusionDirector login page is displayed.
- Enter the user name and password to log in to FusionDirector.
- Choose to go to the page for managing servers.
- Click the specified iBMC IP address. The server details page is displayed.
- On the edge device details page, click the Dual Backup tab page.
- Select Disable Switchover from the Operation drop-down list on the right.
- Set duration for disabling the switchover.
Duration for Disabling Switchover (minute): an integer ranging from 1 to 1440.
- Click OK.
After being disabled, the active/standby switchover function is unavailable. The system automatically restores the active/standby switchover function after the specified duration. You can also manually restore the active/standby switchover function before it is automatically restored.
Enabling Switchover
This operation is supported only when the local device functions as the active node. When the local device functions as the standby node, perform this operation on the peer device.
The active/standby switchover function is enabled when the switchback is performed.
- Enter https://FusionDirector IP address in the address box of the browser and press Enter. The FusionDirector login page is displayed.
- Enter the user name and password to log in to FusionDirector.
- Choose to go to the page for managing servers.
- Click the specified iBMC IP address. The server details page is displayed.
- On the edge device details page, click the Dual Backup tab page.
- Select Enable Switchover from the Operation drop-down list on the right.
- Click OK.
Disabling Dual Backup
- Enter https://FusionDirector IP address in the address box of the browser and press Enter. The FusionDirector login page is displayed.
- Enter the user name and password to log in to FusionDirector.
- Choose to go to the page for managing servers.
- Click the specified iBMC IP address. The server details page is displayed.
- On the edge device details page, click the Dual Backup tab page.
- Select Enable/Disable Dual Backup from the Operation drop-down list on the right.
Disable the dual backup function of the local and peer devices.
- Click OK.
Setting File Synchronization Parameters
The blacklist takes priority over file synchronization. Exercise caution when setting the blacklist.
- Enter https://FusionDirector IP address in the address box of the browser and press Enter. The FusionDirector login page is displayed.
- Enter the user name and password to log in to FusionDirector.
- Choose to go to the page for managing servers.
- Click the specified iBMC IP address. The server details page is displayed.
- On the edge device details page, click the Dual Backup tab page.
- Select Modify File Sync Parameter from the Operation drop-down list on the right.
- Configure synchronization parameters.Set synchronization parameters by referring to Table 6-6.Table 6-6 File synchronization parameters

File Synchronization Path
Click Add and enter the path of the files to be synchronized. After dual backup is enabled, all information in the folder or file is synchronized.
The file path can contain a maximum of 255 characters and must start with a slash (/). Only digits, uppercase letters, lowercase letters, slashes (/), hyphens (-), underscores (_), and dots (.) are allowed. Two dots (..) are not allowed.
NOTE:- Do not use an existing folder or file path in the system partition. Otherwise, the system may become abnormal.
- HA is run by a HwHiAiUser user, so the HwHiAiUser user must have read/write permissions on the input file path. Otherwise, the file cannot be synchronized.
You can add or delete records based on the actual requirements.
Blacklist
Blacklist Path
Click Add and enter the path of the files not to be synchronized. After dual backup is enabled, information in the folder or file is not synchronized.
