Starting a Parallel System
- A parallel system of 3 kVA UPSs can share or not share battery strings.
- Before you start a parallel system, ensure that the output circuit breakers for each UPS are ON. In addition, ensure that the output neutral wires of all UPSs are connected together.
- Check that parallel system parameters have been synchronized.
- Before starting a parallel system, ensure that all circuit breakers on the output side are OFF, and do not start loads.
- To prevent triggering overload protection, start the loads with higher power and then loads with lower power.
Start the UPSs Using Mains Power
Procedure
- Switch on the external battery circuit breaker (if any).
- Switch on the general AC input circuit breaker Km to start the UPS. The UPS will enter the bypass mode. Switch on the AC output circuit breaker Q1. The UPSs enter the standby screen, and the parallel system works in bypass mode. Press and hold SELECT for 1s on a non-setting screen to access the login screen for parameter settings. The initial password is 000001. Enter the correct password to access the UPS setting mode.Figure 5-9 Password input screen
- Set the output voltage based on site requirements.
Output Voltage
Description
You need to shut down the inverter before changing the output voltage.
220: indicates that the output voltage is 220 V AC.
230: indicates that the output voltage is 230 V AC (default value).
240: indicates that the output voltage is 240 V AC.
- Operate the UPSs one by one to set the number of parallel output UPSs. Press SELECT, go to the setting screen, and set parallel system parameters. Press ON/MUTE+SELECT to return to the standby screen.
Number of Parallel UPSs
Description
- Default value: 1
- Value range: 1–2
- Perform the startup operation on each UPS. The UPS parallel system transfers to normal mode.
- After checking that the system runs properly, switch on the general output circuit breaker Q and branch output circuit breakers for the parallel system to start loads one by one.
Cold-Starting the UPSs Using Batteries
- Switch on the external battery circuit breaker (if any).
- Press ON/MUTE to start the UPSs. The UPSs will enter the standby mode. Press and hold SELECT for 1s on a non-setting screen to access the login screen for parameter settings. The initial password is 000001. Enter the correct password to access the UPS setting mode.
- Set the output voltage based on site requirements.
