Cable Connections to the Power Supply and Distribution System
Grounding the Smart Module
- Connect the ground point in the cabinet to the general ground bar.
- Connect the general ground bar in the cabinet to the floor ground bar or collective ground bar.
Connecting Cabinet Input Power Cables
Connecting rPDU Power Cables
Context
The rPDU complying with China standards or IEC can be configured based on site requirements.
If the rPDU is not configured with industrial connectors, connect the rPDU cables.
Procedure
- Connect cabinet rPDU cables.
- Connect the rPDU enclosure ground cable.
- Remove the front panel from the rPDU.
- Connect one end of the reserved rPDU power cable to the rPDU terminal block, and the other end to the power distribution subrack.

- Reinstall the front panel on the rPDU.
- Connect other rPDU power cables in the same way.
Connecting Cables Between the Lithium Battery and the UPS
Context
- The busbars, batteries, power distribution unit (PDU), and UPS have been installed.
- If only one battery is configured onsite, battery cables have been preinstalled in the battery position. If more than one battery is configured onsite, connect battery cables.
- The actual number of batteries depends on the onsite configuration.
Procedure
- Connect power cables between lithium batteries and the UPS.
- Connect the positive battery terminal to the RTN+ port on the busbar and the negative battery terminal to the –48 V port on the busbar.Figure 4-59 Connecting cables between lithium batteries and busbars

- Connect the positive battery terminal to the RTN+ port on the busbar and the negative battery terminal to the –48 V port on the busbar.
- Connect communications cables between lithium batteries and the UPS.
- After lithium batteries are connected in parallel, connect a signal cable to the BMS port of the UPS.
- Connect the signal cables between lithium batteries from the COM_OUT port on the lower lithium battery to the COM_IN port on the upper lithium battery.
- A build-out resistor needs to be installed at the COM-OUT port of the lithium battery at the end.
