Connecting Manifolds to the Secondary Loop
Before performing this operation, ensure that:
- The air tightness of the liquid-cooled cabinet has been checked and the internal pressure has been released by opening the exhaust valve on the top of manifold pipe.
- The valve on the secondary loop branch is closed.
Procedure
- Determine the positions of water pipe ports on the liquid-cooled cabinet.Figure 8-64 Water pipe ports on the liquid-cooled cabinet
- Install inlet and outlet pipes.
Connect the water inlet and outlet pipes correctly according to the red and blue labels. The red label indicates water outlet, and the blue label indicates water inlet.
- Loosen the clamp on the external pipe ports of the liquid-cooled cabinet counterclockwise, and remove the clamp and plug. See (1) and (2) in Figure 8-65. Remove the clamp and plug from the branch hose of the secondary loop in the same way.
The sealing ring needs to be retained on the pipe port.
- Connect the branch hose of the secondary loop to the pipe port of the liquid-cooled cabinet, and use a torque wrench to tighten the hose. See Figure 8-66.
- Do not move the sealing ring during the connection. Ensure that the round bulge on the sealing ring is aligned with the groove on the hose connector.
- The recommended torque value is 9 N·m to 11 N·m.
- Loosen the clamp on the external pipe ports of the liquid-cooled cabinet counterclockwise, and remove the clamp and plug. See (1) and (2) in Figure 8-65. Remove the clamp and plug from the branch hose of the secondary loop in the same way.
