Installing the Doors
The side doors, front and rear doors of a CDU cabinet, and front and rear doors of an Atlas 900 PoD cabinet are moulding doors, as shown in Figure 8-78.
Remove the outer packages of these doors and properly keep the package materials.
Installing the CDU Filler Frames
Procedure
- Two persons place the top filler frame on the top of the CDU cabinet, and secure it with eight M5x10 pan head screws, as shown in Figure 8-79.
The arrow on the top filler frame must face upwards. The center and outer sides of the filling frame must be aligned with those of the CDU cabinet.
- Two persons lift the rear filler frame and mount it on the rear side of the cabinet by using positioning pins to partially secure it, as shown in Figure 8-81.
Use two M5 pan head screws to secure the top of the filler frame, as shown in Figure 8-82. Use four M5 pan head screws to partially secure the cross section on the top, seven M5 pan head screws on each of the left and right sides, and three M5 screw assemblies at the bottom, as shown inFigure 8-83. Tighten the screws after they are all partially secured. The side of the filler frame must be aligned with the side of the CDU cabinet.
Mount the data frame on the rear filler frame to keep user information. Figure 8-80 shows the its position.
The bit of the electric screwdriver used to fix the filler frame must be longer than 10 cm.
- Install four connecting plates, as shown in Figure 8-84.
Installing the Side Doors
Procedure
The side door can be installed in either of the following scenarios (front view):
- Left door of the CDU cabinet and right door of the Atlas 900 PoD cabinet
- Right door of the CDU cabinet and left door of the Atlas 900 PoD cabinet
The following describes how to install a side door for the CDU cabinet on the left and for the Atlas 900 PoD cabinet on the right.
The method for installing the side doors of the CDU cabinet is the same as that of the Atlas 900 PoD cabinet. But before installing the side doors of the Atlas 900 PoD cabinet, you need to install the side beams. For details, see 2.
- Disassemble the moulding door. Remove the 18 M3 black countersunk screws and the two M4 screw assemblies on the top, as shown in Figure 8-85. After the screws are removed, the door is divided into two parts, namely, the mounting plate and the side door.
- Install the mounting plate. Use the M5 pan head screws to partially secure the top of the plate, as shown in Figure 8-86. After all the holes on the plate are aligned and screws are partially secured, tighten the screws.
If there are no holes on both sides of the cabinet, partially secure the top of the mounting plate. Mark the positions of the holes on the cabinet according to the positions of the holes on the mounting plate, and then use an electric drill with a φ4.5 drill bit to drill the marked holes.
- Place the foam pad in position, as shown in Figure 8-87.
- Install the side door. Three persons lift the side door and hang the top of the side door on the top of the cabinet.
You can hold only the strengthening teeth marked with an arrow on the side door for movement, as shown in Figure 8-88. Do not hold the plastic teeth for movement.
- Secure the side door. Tighten the two M4 screw assemblies on the top, as shown in Figure 8-89. Tighten the 18 M3 black countersunk screws on both sides, as shown in Figure 8-90.
Installing the High-End Rear Door of a CDU Cabinet
Procedure
- Install the hinges.
Use two M5 countersunk screws to secure the front and four M5 pan head screws to secure the side to the imprints on the cabinet columns, as shown in Figure 8-91.
If there is no imprints, install M5 countersunk screws to the holes 9, 12, 52, 55, 86, and 89 from the bottom.
- Install the door latches.
Use two M5 pan head screws to secure the latches to the imprints on the columns of the cabinet, as shown in Figure 8-92.
If there is no imprints on the cabinet columns, install M5 pan head screws to the holes 54 and 56 from the bottom.
- For details about the character installation when the door is placed horizontally, see Installing the Characters.
- Install the moulding door.
Two persons lift the door and engage it with the hinges, as shown in Figure 8-93.
- Connect the ground cable to the door, as shown in Figure 8-94.
- Check that the door lock can be opened and closed smoothly.
Installing the Characters
Procedure
- Determine the character installation scheme. Figure 8-95 to Figure 8-101 show the details.
If the total number of cabinets is less than five, you do not need to install characters.

- Determine the position of the character cardboard. Align the arrows on the left and right sides of the cardboard with the red horizontal teeth on the door, as shown in Figure 8-103.
- Determine the character position. Put the character into the blank of the cardboard and insert the locating pins into the hexagonal mesh holes of the door.
- Fix the character. Press the buckle and interference locating pin into the hexagonal mesh holes of the door.
- Use the same method to install other characters.
Installing the High-End Front Door of a CDU Cabinet
Procedure
- Remove the monitor from the front door of the CDU cabinet.
- Remove the front door.
- Remove the hinges.
- Install the hinges.
Use two M5 countersunk screws to secure the front and four M5 pan head screws to secure the side to the imprints on the cabinet columns, as shown in Figure 8-104.
If there is no imprints, install M5 countersunk screws to the holes 9, 12, 52, 55, 86, and 89 from the bottom.
- Install the door latches.
Use two M5 pan head screws to secure the latches to the imprinted positions on the columns of the cabinet, as shown in Figure 8-105.
If there is no imprints on the cabinet columns, install M5 pan head screws to the holes 54 and 56 from the bottom.
- Install the moulding door.
Two persons lift the door and connect it to the hinges, as shown in Figure 8-106.
