Whiteboard

Open Whiteboard
You can create a whiteboard page or
open a whiteboard by scanning the QR
code or from the local storage.

Method
• Tap the whiteboard icon on the home
page to create a whiteboard.
• To open a whiteboard file, tap Open in
the lower left corner of the whiteboard,
and open the whiteboard as prompted.

Note
QR Code: Scan the QR code using the
Scan function of a supported mobile
client (HUAWEI CLOUD Meeting) to open
a whiteboard file.
Whiteboard

Canvas & Pen

You can select different canvases and
pens to write on the whiteboard as
required.

Method

• Tap Setting and select a
whiteboard background.
• Tap to to select a pen type or adjust
the thickness for handwriting.
• Tap and select a pen
color.
Whiteboard

Erase

You can select different methods to erase
or clear all based on the size of the area to
be erased.

Method

The erase methods are as follows:
• Expand your palm to erase content in a
large area.
• Clench your fist to erase content in a
small area.
• Tap Eraser and use your fingertip
to erase content in a tiny area.
• Tap Eraser and select Clear All
to clear all content on the current page.
Whiteboard

Circle-Select & Zoom

You can circle, zoom in or out, and delete
the selected area.

Method
Circle-Select: Tap Circle-Select
and circle an area to move, zoom in
or out, or delete content in the area.
Zoom: The Zoom and Co-Author
icons are in the same position. When
either is enabled, the function will be
displayed at the bottom of the
whiteboard. Zoom allows you to
zoom in or out anywhere on the
whiteboard, and Co-Author
allows two people to write
concurrently. Tap Co-Author to
switch to Zoom , and vice versa.

Note
In Zoom mode, co-authoring is not
available.
Whiteboard

Co-Author

After Co-Author is enabled, two
people can write on the whiteboard at
the same time.

Method
The Zoom and Co-Author icons are in the
same position. When either is enabled, the
function will be displayed at the bottom of
the whiteboard. Co-Author
allows two people to write concurrently,
and Zoom allows you to zoom in or
out anywhere on the whiteboard. Tap
Zoom to switch to Co-Author ,
and vice versa.

Note
During co-authoring, the page cannot
be zoomed in or out.
Whiteboard

Smart Pen

After Smart Pen is enabled, select
Text and write. Your handwriting can
be recognized as digital text. Select
Chart to draw shapes that will be
recognized as graphics. In addition, you
can swipe to clear text.

Method

On the whiteboard page, choose Setting >
Smart pen to enable this function. Tap
or to write or draw, respectively.

Note
• The supported intelligent graphics
include straight lines, arrows, circles,
ellipses, squares, rectangles, and
triangles.
• In the Smart Pen mode, co-authoring
is not available.
Whiteboard

Save & Take Away

A whiteboard file can be saved or taken away in
four modes: QR Code, Save, Export or Mail.

Method
In the lower left corner of the whiteboard, tap Save.
In the dialog box that is displayed, select a method
to save or take away a whiteboard file.

Note
• QR code: Scan the QR code using the Scan
function of a matching mobile client (HUAWEI
CLOUD Meeting, WeChat and Browser) to open
a whiteboard file. In the lower right corner of the
homepage, choose Settings > Advanced >
Whiteboard > QR Code Scan to enable this
function, and set Scan Method as required.
• Save: In the lower right corner of the homepage,
choose Settings > Advanced > Whiteboard >
Whiteboard Local Storage. With this function
enabled, a whiteboard file can be saved to a local
folder or USB flash drive in .cwb format.
• Export: In the lower right corner of the homepage,
choose Settings > Advanced > Whiteboard >
Whiteboard Local Storage. With this function
enabled, a whiteboard file can be exported to a
local folder or USB flash drive in .pdf format.
• Mail: In the lower right corner of the home page,
choose Settings > Advanced > Mail. With this
function enabled, a whiteboard file can be taken
away by sending an email.

Screen Projection

Mobile Client Projection

On the IdeaShare mobile client, enter the projection
code on screen to project content from a mobile
phone to screen.

Method

1. Search for IdeaShare in the app store of the
mobile phone to download and install the client.
2. Connect the phone and large screen to the same
network.
3. Open IdeaShare, enter the projection code
displayed on the large screen, tap Share Screen,
and then tap Start Now to start projection.

Note

• Operating system requirements for installing the
IdeaShare mobile client:
 Android 8.0 or later (Android 10.0 or later
supports audio projection.)
 iOS 13.0 or later
 HarmonyOS 2.0 or later
• To configure the projection client mode, open a
browser on the large screen, and enter 127.0.0.1
in the address box to log in to the web interface
(username and password are admin and
Change_Me, respectively). Choose Application
> Wireless Projection > Parameter
Configuration, and set IdeaShare mode to
Offline to implement projection on the
IdeaShare mobile client.
Screen Projection

DLNA Projection

Project the content from the multimedia player on the
phone to the large screen wirelessly over DLNA protocol.

Method

Enable Multi-screen Collaboration on the large screen and connect
your phone and large screen to the same LAN.
Method 1 (App projection):
1. Open a video app that supports the DLNA function on your phone,
and tap “TV” in the upper part of the video to search for large
screen devices.
2. Select the available device from the search results and start
projection.
Method 2 (Local resource projection, only for Huawei mobile phones):
1. Swipe down from the status bar to open the notification
panel on your phone (continue swiping down to show all
shortcuts), tap Wireless Projection, and search for
available projection devices.
2. After the connection is successful, open and share content from
Huawei built-in apps (Gallery, Music, and Video).

Note

• One of the following network connections is required to
implement DLNA projection:
 Connect the mobile phone and large screen to the same
Wi-Fi network.
 Connect the large screen to a wired network and the
mobile phone to the large screen's hotspot.
 Connect the large screen to a wired network and the
mobile phone to a Wi-Fi network, where the wired and
Wi-Fi networks are on the same LAN.
• When the phone enables hotspot to provide network for the
large screen or connects to the hotspot of the large screen,
the DLNA projection is unavailable on the phone.
• Required operating systems: Android 7.0 or later, iOS 9.0 or
later, HarmonyOS 2.0 or later.
Screen Projection

Cast+ Projection

Project the content from the phone to the large screen
wirelessly over Cast+ protocol.

Method

1. Enable Multi-screen Collaboration on the large screen.
2. Connect your phone and large screen to the same LAN
network.
3. Swipe down from the status bar to open the
notification panel on your phone, enable Wireless
Projection, and search for large screen devices.
4. Select the available device from the result list for
projection.

Note

• Connection code is required for the first use of
Cast+ function.
• One of the following network connections is
required to implement Cast+ projection:
 Connect the mobile phone and large screen to
the same Wi-Fi network.
 Connect the large screen to a wired network
and the mobile phone to the large screen's
hotspot.
 Connect the large screen to a wired network
and the mobile phone to a Wi-Fi network,
where the wired and Wi-Fi networks are on the
same LAN.
• When the phone enables hotspot to provide
network for the large screen or connects to the
hotspot of the large screen, the Cast+ projection
is unavailable on the phone.
• Required operating systems: EMUI 10.1.0 or later,
Magic UI 3.1 or later, HarmonyOS 2.0 or later.

Phone Wired Projection

Connect your phone to screen using a
Type-C cable and project content from
the phone on the large screen.

Method
1. Connect your phone to screen using
a Type-C cable.
2. The projection is available once the
connection is successful.

Note
• The Type-C projection is available
only when your phone uses the port
that is USB 3.1 or later and supports
audio & video transmission as well
as the used cable supports audio &
video transmission.
• PCs also support Type-C wired
projection. For details, see PC
Wired Projection .
Screen Projection

PC Wired Projection

Connect your PC to the large screen using a
Type-C or HDMI cable to project content from
the PC to the large screen.

Method

1. Connect your PC to the large screen using
a Type-C or HDMI cable.
2. After the connection is successful, tap
Connect on the homepage, choose HDMI
or Type-C at the bottom of the screen to
switch the connection mode, and tap Open
to start projection.

Note

• The Type-C cable projection is available
only when your computer uses the port
that is USB 3.1 or later and supports audio
& video transmission as well as the used
cable supports audio & video transmission.
• Reverse control is supported for projection
using a Type-C cable on the computer.
Screen Projection

PC Client Projection
(IdeaShare)

On the IdeaShare PC client, enter the projection
code on screen to project content from a PC to
screen.

Method
1. Open huaweicloud.com on the PC, search for
IdeaShare, and download and install the client.
2. Connect the PC and large screen to the same
network.
3. Open IdeaShare, enter the projection code
displayed on the large screen, and tap Share
to start projection.

Note

To configure the projection client mode, open a
browser on the large screen, and enter
127.0.0.1 in the address box to log in to the
web interface (username and password are
admin and Change_Me, respectively). Choose
Application > Wireless Projection >
Parameter Configuration, and set IdeaShare
mode to Offline to implement projection on the
IdeaShare PC client.
Screen Projection

IdeaShare Key Projection

You can use the IdeaShare Key to project from computer
without downloading any projection software.
Method
1. Insert the IdeaShare Key into the large screen, wait until
Pairing successful message is displayed, and then
remove the IdeaShare Key.
2. Insert the IdeaShare Key into the computer.
3. After the blue indicator of the USB Type-A IdeaShare
Key is steady on in low brightness or the white indicator
of the USB Type-C IdeaShare Key is steady on, press
the IdeaShare Key button to start projection. Then, you
can press it again to stop projection.
Note
• USB Type-A IdeaShare Key: If you use it for the first time,
you need to install the IdeaShare Key software to
connect the large screen.
• USB Type-C IdeaShare Key:
 If the Type-C port on the computer supports audio
and video transmission, you can directly connect
the computer to the large screen without installing
the IdeaShare Key software. In addition, no dialog
box will be displayed in the lower right corner of the
computer.
 If the Type-C port on the computer does not
support audio and video transmission, the
computer can be connected to a large screen only
when the IdeaShare Key software is installed.
• To install the IdeaShare Key software, perform the
following steps:
 Windows: On the homepage after you click My PC
or This PC, double-click the drive or double-click
IdeaShare Key.exe in the drive path to manually
complete the installation.
 macOS: Double-click IdeaShareKeySetup in the
IdeaShareKey drive path on the desktop to
manually complete the installation and
authorization.
Screen Projection

Reverse Control
You can control your phone or PC on
the large screen during projection.

Method
After the projection is successful, tap
Reverse Control in the Toolbar in
the lower right corner of the large
screen to control the phone or PC.

Note
The following projection modes support
reverse control:
• PC client projection
• IdeaShare Key Projection
• Phone Wired Projection (Type-C)
• PC Wired Projection (Type-C)
• Cast+ Projection

OPS

Use OPS

The Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) is an optional
hardware for the large screen. The OPS has a built-in Windows
10 or Windows 11 Enterprise operating system and can be
automatically activated after being powered on and connected
to a network.
Method
When installing or uninstalling the OPS positioned at the large
screen's back, ensure that a hard shutdown is performed for
the large screen's power button; otherwise, the OPS may be
abnormal. If the OPS is installed during device power-on,
perform a hard shutdown and power on the OPS again before
using it.
The large screen supports the Android and Windows modes.
• Android (default): The OPS is presented as an app on the
large screen. In this mode, you can tap the Windows icon
in the lower left corner of the home page to access the
OPS. Tap Home to return to the home page.
• Windows: The large screen is used as the display to
display the OPS only. To switch to the Windows mode,
choose Settings > Advanced > Switch to Windows
Mode in the lower right corner of the home page, and tap
Open. In this mode, you can swipe from the left edge of
the screen to the right to display the setting page. Tap
Advanced to switch back to the Android mode.
Note
• Using the built-in camera and microphone: Choose
Settings > Advanced > Camera & Microphone
Settings in the lower right corner of the home screen
and tap Windows.
• Using the software keyboard: In Windows, choose
Setting > Devices > Typing > Touch keyboard and
enable Show the touch keyboard when not in tablet
mode and there's no keyboard attached toggle.
• Security settings: Choose Settings > Advanced >
Advanced Settings Password in the lower right corner
of the home page and set a password, which is
required for accessing advanced settings in both
Android or Windows mode.
OPS

Controller

You can configure the Controller and Controller
receiver for the Device. The Controller can be used
to perform routine operations on multiple types of
endpoints and provide convenient control functions.

Method
Choose Settings > Advanced > USB Port and
enable USB Storage Device. Insert the Controller
receiver into the USB Type-A port at the lower right
corner of the screen to receive signals from the
Controller. It provides the following functions:
• Sleep/Wake up(Not supported in Windows-
only mode)
• Turn to the previous page
• Turn to the next page
• Laser pointer(Support the click function)
• Enable/Disable the microphone (Not
supported in Windows-only mode)
• Mute/Unmute(Not supported in Windows-
only mode)
• Enable/Disable the camera(This function is
available only for endpoints configured with
built-in cameras and is not supported in
Windows-only mode)
• Increase the volume
• Decrease the volume

Note

In projection mode, the Controller can be used only
with the IdeaShare and HUAWEI CLOUD Meeting
projection software.

Customization and Demo

You can customize the HiBoard.

Method

1. Swipe right on the home page to enter HiBoard.
2. In the lower left corner of the HiBoard, tap
Template.
3. After selecting a template, edit the template text.
4. After editing, tap the screen and then tap Start
displayed at the bottom of the large screen to
display the page in full screen.

Note

• HiBoard customized background images can
only be selected from the large screen's local
directory or a USB flash drive. The image
format can be .bmp, .jpg, .jpeg, or .png.
• When adding a customized background, ensure
that the image resolution does not exceed 8K
(7680 x 4320) and the image size does not
exceed 30 MB. You are advised to add an
image with the aspect ratio of 16:9. Otherwise,
the image will be scaled proportionally.
• Tap Reset to restore an edited template to its
initial state.

Change Wallpaper
You can change the wallpaper on the home
page. Wallpapers include the built-in
wallpapers and newly imported wallpapers.
Method
Method 1: Tap and hold the home page to
select a wallpaper.
Method 2: Choose Settings > Wallpaper >
Choose Wallpaper in the lower right corner
of the home page to change the wallpaper.

Note
• You can import a wallpaper on the web
interface. Only one wallpaper can be
imported at a time and will replace the
original one. The imported wallpaper
must be in JPG or PNG format. 1080p
and 4K images are supported. Images
with other resolutions will be stretched.
• To import a wallpaper, log in to web
interface, choose System Settings >
GUI Display > Touchscreen UI >
Wallpaper.

Customize Homepage

You can customize the app icons on the
home page.

Method
In the lower right corner of the home
screen, choose Settings > Advanced >
App management > Permission Control,
and enable Allow homepage custom
applications to allow anyone to customize
the home screen on this device.
Method 1: Tap and hold an app icon on the
home page, and tap .
Method 2: Swipe left on the home page to
go to the app list, tap and hold an app icon,
and tap Customize home page.
Note

A maximum of six app icons can be
displayed on the home page.

Download App

The AppGallery gives you access to countless third-
party applications.

Method
1. Before downloading an app, ensure that the
network is connected and the large screen can
access the network.
2. Swipe left on the home page to enter the app list,
enter AppGallery, search for and download the
app, and install it.

Note
• By default, HUAWEI AppGallery is not displayed
on the large screen sold outside the Chinese
mainland. To enable it, choose Settings >
Advanced > App Management > App Display
and enable AppGallery. Then the app will be
displayed on the Apps screen.
• Other download methods: On the Apps page, tap
Browser to search for and download apps.
Alternatively, import the installation package to the
large screen using a USB flash drive. Then tap File
Manager, find the desired installation package,
and install the app.
• You may encounter browser compatibility issues
on some websites. If video playback problems
occur in the preset browser, change a browser and
try again.

Annotate During Projection

During projection, you can add
annotations to the key content on the
projection page and save the annotations.

Method

1. After the projection is successful, tap
Annotation in the toolbar at the
lower right corner of the large screen
to add important annotations.
2. Tap Save to take annotations away.

Note
The saving mode can be Save, Export
or Mail. For details, see Save & Take
away.

Annotate in App

In an app, you can add annotations to
the key content on the app page and
save the annotations.

Method

1. Open an app and tap Annotation in
the lower right corner of the large
screen to add important annotations.
2. Tap Save to take annotations away.

Note
The saving mode can be Save, Export
or Mail. For details, see Save & Take
away.
