IdeaShare Key (Type-C)

Figure 1-1 shows the main components.

• Type-C Connector

  Connects the IdeaShare Key to an endpoint or computer through the USB Type-C port.

• Button

  Starts or stops sharing the computer video and audio with the endpoint.

• LED Indicator

  Table 1-1 describes the LED indicators and statuses of the IdeaShare Key (Type-C).

  Indicator	IdeaShare Key Status
  Off	Not in the working state.
  Blinking white once per second	Inserted in an endpoint and is pairing or upgrading. Inserted in a computer and is connecting to the endpoint.
  Steady white	Inserted in an endpoint and paired or upgraded successfully. Inserted in a computer and connected to an endpoint successfully. Screen sharing is stopped.
  Blinking red once per second	Inserted in an endpoint but fails to be paired or upgraded. Inserted in a computer but fails to be connected to the endpoint.
  Steady red	Faulty.
  Steady blue	The screen is being shared.

• If your IdeaShare Key is used with the IdeaHub S2, IdeaHub S2 Pro, IdeaHub ES2, or IdeaHub ES2 Pro, upgrade the endpoint to 2.1.1 or later.
• The IdeaShare Key (Type-C) is applicable to the following computer operating systems:
  • If the Type-C port on your computer supports audio and video transmission, you do not need to install the IdeaShare Key software. In this case, the IdeaShare Key applies to:
    • Windows 10 or 11
    • macOS 10.15.3 or later
  • If the Type-C port on your computer does not support audio and video transmission, you need to install the IdeaShare Key software. In this case, the IdeaShare Key applies to:
    • 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, or 11
    • macOS 10.13.6 or later
• The IdeaShare Key (Type-C) is applicable only to phones or tablets that support audio and video output (support capability varying depending on the device vendor), and the operating system must be:
  • Android 10.0 or later
  • HarmonyOS 2.0 to 5.0 (excluding 5.0)
  • iOS 12.1 or later
• Video capabilities of the IdeaShare Key (Type-C):
  • Without driver software: up to 1080p 60 fps
  • Driver software installed: up to 4K 30 fps
