Whiteboard
Open Whiteboard
You can create a whiteboard or open a
historical whiteboard by scanning the QR code
or locally.
Method
• Creating a Whiteboard: Tap the
whiteboard icon on the home screen to
create a whiteboard.
• Opening a Historical Whiteboard: In the
lower left corner of the whiteboard, choose
File > Open > Local or USB storage
device, and select a whiteboard.
• Scanning the QR Code to Open a
Whiteboard: In the lower left corner of the
whiteboard, choose File > Open > Scan,
and use the scanning function of a
mapping mobile client to open the
whiteboard file.
Whiteboard
Canvas & Pen
You can select different canvases and
pens to write on the whiteboard.
Method
• Setting the Canvas: Click Settings
and select a whiteboard
background.
• Setting the Pen: Tap the pen icon
on the toolbar to set the pen type,
color, and thickness.
Note
Pen types include Pencil , Pen ,
Highlighter , and Smart Pen .
Whiteboard
Erase
You can select different methods to erase
or clear all based on the size of the area to
be erased.
Method
The erase methods are as follows:
• Expand your palm to erase content in a
large area.
• Clench your fist to erase content in a
small area.
• Tap eraser and use your fingertip
to erase content in a tiny area.
• Tap eraser and select Clear
to clear all content on the current page.
Whiteboard
Select & Zoom
You can circle an area of handwriting or graphics
to move, zoom in/out, or delete it.
Method
Select: Tap and circle an area to move, zoom
in or out, copy or delete content or change the
color in the area.
Zoom: The zoom and co-author icons are in the
same position. When either is enabled, the
function will be displayed at the bottom of the
whiteboard.
Zoom allows you to zoom in or out anywhere
on the whiteboard, and co-author allows two
people to write concurrently. Tap to switch to
zoom, and vice versa.
Canvas expansion: In zoom mode, the
whiteboard supports unlimited canvas
expansion. After a user writes or operates an
element, the whiteboard automatically
expands the canvas for unlimited creative
space.
Note
In zoom mode, co-authoring is not available.
The canvas can be expanded for multiple times.
Each expansion is centered on the writing or
operation element, and a screen size is expanded
up, down, left, and right.
Whiteboard
Insert
You can insert shapes, images,
and other objects from favorites
on the whiteboard.
Method
Tap Insert on the whiteboard
toolbar and choose:
• Shapes: You can insert eight
common shapes, such as
square, triangle, and circle.
• Images: You can insert a local
image and crop it as needed.
• Favorites: You can insert
handwriting, shapes, or
images from the favorites. You
can also add handwriting, a
shape, or an image to the
favorites by one tap.
Whiteboard
Co-Author
After Co-Author is enabled, two
people can write on the whiteboard at
the same time.
Method
The zoom and co-author icons are in the
same position. When either is enabled, the
function will be displayed at the bottom of
the whiteboard.
Zoom allows you to zoom in or out
anywhere on the whiteboard, and co-
author allows two people to write
concurrently. Tap to switch to zoom,
and vice versa.
Note
During co-authoring, the page cannot
be zoomed in or out.
Whiteboard
Smart Pen
After Smart Pen is enabled, text is
converted into printed text and shapes
into basic shapes. You can delete any
content with gestures.
Method
1. Enabling Smart Pen: Tap Settings
and enable Smart Pen.
2. Selecting Smart Pen: After Smart
Pen is enabled, the smart pen is
by default, which can convert written
text to printed text. You can also tap
the Smart Pen icon and switch the
pen to so that shapes can be
converted into basic shapes.
3. Gesture Deletion: Draw a straight line
or wavy line through the text to delete
it.
Note
• The supported shapes of Smart Pen
include straight lines, arrows, circles,
ellipses, squares, rectangles, and
triangles.
• In Smart Pen mode, co-authoring is
unavailable.
Whiteboard
Global Annotation
When you use the annotation function
of the large screen, the screenshot of
the current page is added to the
whiteboard and the whiteboard is
automatically opened. You can
customize annotations or save and
take away the annotations.
Method
• Tap the button on the right of the
large screen, tap Annotate.
• Gesture: Swipe a certain distance
(no more than 1/3 of the screen)
from the lower left corner or lower
right corner of the large screen to
the center of the screen and
release.
Note
• After the background is inserted, you
can touch and hold the image to crop
the background.
• You can save and take away the
annotated content.
Whiteboard
Save & Take Away
Whiteboard content can be saved or taken away
in three modes: Save, Scan, and Mail.
Method
1. Setting the Whiteboard: The whiteboard
content can be saved or taken away only
after related configuration is complete. On
the home page, choose Whiteboard >
Settings > Advanced, enable Save
Whiteboard, More and QR Code Scan.
2. In the lower left corner of the whiteboard
page, tap Share, or tap File and choose
Save.
Note
• Save: After Save Whiteboard is enabled, you
can save the whiteboard content locally or
export the whiteboard content to a USB flash
drive (in .cwb or .pdf format).
• Scan: Use the scan function of the mobile
client (Huawei Cloud Meeting, WeChat or
Browser) to scan the QR code on the large
screen.
• Mail: After the email address is configured, the
whiteboard content can be sent via email. In
the lower right corner of the home page, tap
Settings > Advanced > System > Email
Address Setting > Sender Email

address.
Whiteboard
Cross-screen Annotation
You can annotate on the PowerPoint file
on the large screen and save it. A low-
latency writing effect is provided for
common pens.
Method
1. Use the IdeaShare Windows client to
project content to the large screen.
2. Open a PowerPoint file on the
computer and play it in full screen.
3. Tap Cross-Screen Annotation in the
lower right corner of the large screen
to annotate on the file, and tap
Eraser to remove the writing.

To use this function, ensure that the
following version requirements are met:
• Computer OS: Windows 10 or 11
• Client version: V7.05.1.01 or later
• Office PowerPoint version: Office

Create a Meeting
(On-Premises)
After the on-premises meeting environment
is set up, you can quickly create a meeting
through the large screen.
Method
Tap the meeting icon on the home screen.
On the meeting details page, tap Create
Meeting to create a meeting.
Note
On-premises capabilities supported by large
screens vary with the large screen model. For
details, see the Product Documentation >

Remote Meeting
Create a Meeting
(Huawei Cloud Meeting)
After the Huawei Cloud Meeting network
is set up, you can quickly create a
meeting through the large screen.
Method
Tap the meeting icon on the home page.
On the meeting details page, choose
Start meeting to create a meeting.
Note
• After a meeting is created, the
meeting ID, guest password, and
QR code are automatically
generated, tap the meeting ID in the
upper left corner to view.
Remote Meeting
Join a Meeting (On-
Premises)
In the on-premises meeting environment,
you can quickly join a meeting using a
meeting ID.
Method
Tap the meeting icon on the home screen
to go to the meeting screen. Enter the
meeting ID and tap Join. Then, enter the
guest password followed by the pound key
(#) to join the meeting.

On-premises capabilities supported by large
screens vary with the large screen model. For

Remote Meeting
Join a Meeting
(Huawei Cloud Meeting)
In the Huawei Cloud Meeting network
scenario, you can join a meeting using
the meeting ID or QR code.
Method
• Meeting ID: Tap the meeting icon on
the home page. On the page
displayed, enter a meeting ID, tap
Join meeting, and enter the guest
password to join the meeting.
• QR code: Tap the meeting icon on
the home page to access the
meeting details page. Open the
Huawei Cloud Meeting client, tap
Scan in the upper right corner, and
scan the QR code on the large
screen to join the meeting.
Remote Meeting
Share Content
Share content in a meeting.
Method
• Sharing an app: Tap Share on the
meeting control bar, select the app to
be shared, and tap Share to share
the app screen with the peer site.
• Sharing and projection: If you initiate
projection during a meeting, you can
directly share the projected content
with the peer site.

This video uses the on-premises meeting
UI as an example, which is slightly
different from cloud meeting UI. Please
refer to the actual UI.
Remote Meeting
Meeting Annotation
In a meeting, annotate a screenshot and
share it with remote sites.
Method
After the projection sharing is successful,
tap Annotate in the lower right corner of
the screen to take a screenshot of the
current screen and annotate on it.
After the meeting annotation is enabled,
annotations will be shared with remote
sites in real time.
Note
• Tap Stop Sharing on the meeting control
bar in the lower right corner to stop
annotation sharing during a meeting.

Meeting Control -
Microphone
You can control the local microphone in
a meeting.
Method
During a meeting, tap the microphone
icon on the control bar in the lower part
to mute or unmute the local microphone.
Note

refer to the actual UI.
Remote Meeting
Meeting Control - Speaker
You can adjust the local speaker in a
meeting.
Method
During a meeting, tap Speaker on the
control bar in the lower part to adjust the
volume of the local speaker.

Remote Meeting
Meeting Control - Camera
You can enable or disable the local
camera in a meeting.
Method
During a meeting, tap Camera on the
control bar in the lower part to enable or
disable the local video.
Note
This video uses the on-premises meeting
UI as an example, which is slightly
different from cloud meeting UI. Please
refer to the actual UI.
Remote Meeting
Meeting Control - Joining by Invitation
The meeting chairperson can invite
others to join a meeting.
Method
During a meeting, tap Invite in the control
bar at the bottom. After the invitees agree,
they can be invited to the meeting.
Note

different from cloud meeting UI. Please
refer to the actual UI.

Meeting Control - Layout
You can change the image layout in
a meeting.
Method
In a multistreaming meeting, tap
Layout on the control bar at the
bottom to switch the meeting layout.
The options are as follows:
• Presenter mode
• PiP mode
• Gallery mode
• For more enhanced layouts,
deliver them from the SMC conf-
portal.
Note
Only on-premises meetings with
multistreaming meeting function
enabled support the layout change.
Remote Meeting
Meeting Control - More
You can view more meeting settings in a
meeting.
Method
During a meeting, tap More in the control bar
at the bottom to perform the following
operations:
• Viewing meeting information
• Camera (Intelligent Tracking)
• Raise Hand
• Releasing/Applying for the chair role

chair)

Screen Projection
BYOM (IdeaShare Client)
With Bring Your Own Meeting (BYOM), the microphone,
speaker, and camera of the large screen can be used as
virtual peripherals for third-party meeting software installed
on computers or mobile phones.
Method
The following uses the IdeaShare client as an example to
describe how to implement BYOM. For details about other
application scenarios, see Product Documentation >
Advanced User > BYOM.
1. Download and install the IdeaShare client on the
computer. During the installation, select Install BYOM
driver (supported only by the administrator account).
2. In the lower right corner of the large screen's home
screen, choose Settings > Smart Functions and
enable Multi-Device Collaboration.
3. Use the IdeaShare client to connect the large screen
to the computer.
4. After you initiate or join a meeting on the computer,
you can use the microphone, speaker, or camera of
the large screen through the settings module on the
meeting page.
Note
• To use this function on the IdeaShare Windows client,
ensure that:
➢ The client is of V6.19.0.33 or later.
➢ The computer is a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11
computer of version 2004 or later.
• For the first use, you need to obtain the trust
authorization from the large screen.
• Currently, the large screen supports the BYOM in the
following scenarios:
➢ IdeaShare client
➢ IdeaShare Key (Type-C)
➢ Type-C cable
➢ OPS
➢ Multi-device collaboration with phones
Screen Projection
BYOM (Multi-Device
Collaboration with Phones)
After a HarmonyOS device searches for and finds
a large screen and successfully connects to it, the
device can invoke the microphone, speaker, and
camera of the large screen as virtual peripherals.
Method
1. Enable Wi-Fi on the large screen, and turn on
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your phone.
2. In the lower right corner of the large screen's
home screen, choose Settings > Smart
Functions and enable Multi-Device
Collaboration. (If the large screen runs
HarmonyOS 4.0, you also need to enable
Multi-screen Interaction for the large screen.)
3. Swipe down from the status bar of the mobile
phone to open the notification panel, enable
Wireless Projection, and search for and
connect to an available large screen.
4. On the status bar of Wireless Projection, you
can use the large screen's camera, speaker,
and camera via Switch audio/video.
Note
• Upon the first use of multi-device collaboration on
your device, obtain authorization from the large
screen and enter the device connection code.
• Audio and video switching can be performed only
on the phone.
• This function applies only to models that support
the Wi-Fi function.
Projection
Wi-Fi P2P Projection
Based on the Wi-Fi Direct protocol, devices can use the
IdeaShare client to implement peer-to-peer connections as
long as Wi-Fi is enabled.
Method
This method applies only to Android, HarmonyOS, and Windows,
and the IdeaShare version must be V6.19.0.32 or later.
1. Download and install the IdeaShare client on your mobile
phone or computer.
2. Enable Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct on the large screen, and
turn on Wi-Fi on your phone.
3. Enter the large screen projection code on the mobile
phone or computer client. Autocomplete is supported so
you simply need to tap the correct one code from the list
to connect to the large screen. For the first connection,
you need to confirm the connection on the large screen.
4. On the client, click Share Screen to start screen
projection.
Note
• This function applies only to endpoints that support the
Wi-Fi function.
• Android and HarmonyOS phones cannot use
mobile hotspot and Wi-Fi P2P at the same time.
You need to disable mobile hotspot first.
• The following operating system requirements must be
met: Windows 10.0.10240.0 or later, Android 8.0 or
later, and HarmonyOS 2.0 or later.
Screen Projection
Mobile Client Projection
On the mobile client of IdeaShare or Huawei Cloud
Meeting, enter the projection code displayed on the large
screen to project content from a mobile phone to the large
screen.
Method
1. Search for the client name such as IdeaShare or
Huawei Cloud Meeting in the app store of the mobile
phone, and download and install the client.
2. Set the network.
Method 1: Connect your phone and large screen to
the same LAN.
Method 2: Keep Wi-Fi enabled on your phone and
large screen
(For details, see Wi-Fi P2P Projection)
3. Use either of the following for projection:
• IdeaShare: Enter the projection code and choose
Share Screen > ALLOW.
• Huawei Cloud Meeting: Tap in the upper right
corner of the app, enter the projection code, and
choose Start projection > START NOW
Note
• Operating system requirements for installing the
IdeaShare mobile client:
➢ Android 8.0 or later
➢ HarmonyOS 2.0 or later
➢ iOS 13.0 or later
• Android 10.0 or later supports audio projection.
• Wi-Fi-related functions apply only to endpoints that
support the Wi-Fi function.
Screen Projection
DLNA Projection
Project the content from the multimedia player on the
phone to the large screen wirelessly over DLNA protocol.
Method
1. On the home screen of the large screen, tap Projection.
On the displayed screen, tap in the upper right
corner, choose Advanced, and enable Multi-Screen
Interaction.
2. Connect your phone and the large screen to the same
LAN.
3. Open the Gallery app on your phone, select a photo,
and choose More > Project in the lower right corner of
the photo to search for available large screens.
4. From the search list, select an available large screen
device to start projection.
Note
• One of the following network connections is required
to implement DLNA projection:
✓ Connect the mobile phone and large screen to
the same Wi-Fi network.
✓ Connect the large screen to a wired network
and the mobile phone to the large screen's
hotspot.
✓ Connect the large screen to a wired network
and the mobile phone to a Wi-Fi network,
where the wired and Wi-Fi networks are on the
same LAN.
• When your phone functions as a hotspot to provide
network access for the large screen, DLNA
projection is unavailable on the phone.
• Required operating systems: Android 7.0 or later,
iOS 9.0 or later, HarmonyOS 2.0 or later.
• Wi-Fi-related functions apply only to endpoints that
support the Wi-Fi function.
Screen Projection
Cast+ Projection
Project the content from the phone to the large screen
wirelessly over Cast+ protocol.
Method
1. On the home screen of the large screen, tap Projection.
On the displayed screen, tap in the upper right corner,
choose Advanced, and enable Multi-Screen
Interaction.
2. Enable Wi-Fi on the large screen, and turn on Wi-Fi and
Bluetooth on your phone.
To enable Wi-Fi on a large screen, tap Settings in the
lower right corner of the large screen's home screen,
choose Advanced > Network Connection > Wi-Fi, and
enable Wi-Fi.
3. Swipe down from the status bar to open the notification
panel, then swipe down again to show all shortcuts,
enable Wireless Projection, and search for available
large screen devices.
4. From the search list, select an available large screen
device to start projection.
Note
• Upon the first use of Cast+ manual projection on
your device, obtain authorization from the large
screen and enter the device connection code.
• When your phone functions as a hotspot to provide
network access for the large screen, Cast+ manual
projection is unavailable on the phone.
• Required operating systems: EMUI 10.1.0 or later,
HarmonyOS 2.0 or later.
• This function applies only to endpoints that support
the Wi-Fi function.
Screen Projection
Projection with Miracast
This function allows you to project content from
Android and Windows devices to a large screen in
wireless projection mode.
Method
1. Keep Wi-Fi and WLAN Direct enabled on the large
screen, and enable Wi-Fi on your phone.
To enable Wi-Fi and WLAN Direct for a large screen,
go to Settings > Advanced > Network Connection >
Wi-Fi from the lower right corner of the large screen's
home screen.
2. On the home screen of the large screen, tap
Projection. On the displayed screen, tap in the
upper right corner, choose Advanced, and enable
Multi-Screen Interaction and Projection with
Miracast.
3. Connect your device to the large screen.
Phone projection: Select an available large screen from
the search list and start projection.
Computer projection: Method 1: Press Start+K or
+K on your keyboard to access the cast page, and select
the display to be connected. Method 2: In the Settings
dialog box, go to System > Display > Multiple displays
> Connect to a wireless display and click Connect.
Note
• When your device is connected using the
Miracast projection function, you need to confirm
the connection on the large screen.
• When your phone functions as a hotspot to
provide network access for the large screen,
Miracast projection is unavailable on the phone.
• Required operating systems: Android 8 or later,
Windows 10 or later.
• This function applies only to endpoints that
support the Wi-Fi function.
Screen Projection
NFC OneHop Projection
Place your NFC-enabled phone close to the NFC sensor
area of the large screen. After success connection, you can
project your phone screen to the large screen.
Method
1. Earlier version on the large screen: Enable Multi-screen
Interaction or Multi-Device Collaboration.
HarmonyOS 4.0 on the large screen: Enable Multi-screen
Interaction.
(To enable multi-device collaboration, tap Settings in the lower
right corner of the large screen's home screen, choose Smart
Functions, and enable Multi-Device Collaboration.)
2. Enable Wi-Fi on the large screen, and turn on Wi-Fi and
Bluetooth on your phone.
To enable Wi-Fi on a large screen, tap Settings in the lower
right corner of the large screen's home screen, choose
Advanced > Network Connection > Wi-Fi, and enable Wi-Fi.
3. Swipe down from the status bar to open the notification panel
(you can continue to swipe down) and turn on NFC. Place the
NFC sensor area (camera area on the back) close to the NFC
sensor area.
4. After successful sensing, follow instructions on the large screen
to determine whether to trust the device to enable projection.
Note
• Upon the first use of NFC OneHop projection on your
device, obtain authorization from the large screen.
• When your phone functions as a hotspot to provide
network access for the large screen, NFC OneHop
projection is unavailable on the phone.
• Required operating systems: EMUI 11.0.0.150 or later,
HarmonyOS 2.0 or later.
• The multi-device collaboration function applies only to
HarmonyOS 2.0 and later versions.
• This function applies only to endpoints that support the
Wi-Fi function.
• The position of the NFC tag (in the lower left corner or
lower right corner of the endpoint) may vary, but
functions are the same.
Screen Projection
Wired Projection
Use a cable to connect a computer (or phone)
to a large screen and share images from the
computer (or phone) to the large screen.
Method
1. Connect the large screen.
Type-C cable: You can use a Type-C cable
to connect the computer (or phone) to the
large screen.
HDMI cable: You can use an HDMI cable
to connect the computer to the large
screen.
2. After the connection is set up, you can start
projection.
Note
• The Type-C cable projection is available
only when your computer and phone use
the port that is USB 3.1 or later and
supports audio & video transmission as
well as the used cable supports audio &
video transmission.
• During projection, if the length of the
Type-C cable is less than or equal to 2
m, reverse control is supported by
default. If the cable length exceeds 2 m,
you need to set Camera & Microphone
Settings to Disable to support reverse
control.
Screen Projection
PC Client Projection
On the PC client of IdeaShare or Huawei Cloud
Meeting, enter the projection code displayed on the
large screen to project content from a PC to the
large screen.
Method
1. Open huaweicloud.com on the PC, search for
IdeaShare or Huawei Cloud Meeting, and
download and install the client.
2. Set the network.
Method 1: Connect your PC and large screen
to the same LAN.
Method 2: Keep Wi-Fi enabled on your PC and
large screen.
(For details, see Wi-Fi P2P Projection)
3. Open the client:
• IdeaShare: enter the projection code displayed on
the large screen, and tap Share to start projection.
• Huawei Cloud Meeting: tap projection icon in
the upper right corner, enter the projection code on
the large screen, and tap Projection to start
projection.
Note
• Operating system requirements for installing the
IdeaShare PC client:
➢ 32-bit and 64-bit Windows operating systems:
Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, and 11
➢ macOS 10.13.6 or later
• Wi-Fi-related functions apply only to endpoints that
support the Wi-Fi function.

You can use the IdeaShare Key to project from computer
without downloading any projection software.
Method
1. Insert the IdeaShare Key into the large screen, wait until
Pairing successful message is displayed, and then
remove the IdeaShare Key.
2. Insert the IdeaShare Key into the computer.
3. After the blue indicator of the IdeaShare Key (Type-A) is
steady on in low brightness or the white indicator of the
IdeaShare Key (Type-C) is steady on, press the
IdeaShare Key button to start projection. Then, you can
press it again to stop projection.
Note
• IdeaShare Key (Type-A): If you use it for the first time,
you need to install the IdeaShare Key software to
connect the large screen.
• IdeaShare Key (Type-C):
➢ If the Type-C port on the computer supports audio
and video transmission, you can directly connect
the computer to the large screen without installing
the IdeaShare Key software. In addition, no dialog
box will be displayed in the lower right corner of the
computer.
➢ If the Type-C port on the computer does not
support audio and video transmission, the
computer can be connected to a large screen only
when the IdeaShare Key software is installed.
• To install the IdeaShare Key software, perform the
following steps:
➢ Windows: On the home screen after you click My
PC or This PC, double-click the drive or double-
click IdeaShare Key.exe in the drive path to
manually complete the installation.
➢ macOS: Double-click IdeaShareKeySetup in the
IdeaShareKey drive path on the desktop to
manually complete the installation and
authorization.
Screen Projection
Reverse Control
You can control your phone or PC on
the large screen during projection.
Method
After the projection is successful, tap the
reverse control icon in the lower right
corner of the large screen to control the
phone or PC.

The following projection modes
support reverse control:
• Cast+ projection
• NFC OneHop projection
• Multi-device collaboration with
phones
• Wired projection via a Type-C
cable
• PC client projection

Screen Projection
Mirror & Control
After the IdeaShare client / IdeaShare Key (Type-C) is
connected to a large screen, you can use the mirror &
control function to control the large screen.
Method
The IdeaShare client is used as an example.
1. In the lower right corner of the large screen's home
screen, choose Settings > Smart Functions and
enable Multi-Device Collaboration.
2. Connect the IdeaShare client to the large screen.
For details, see Mobile Client Projection.
3. After the connection is successful, tap Mirror &
Control on the client to perform simple operations
on the large screen, such as annotate, go back to
the previous screen, and go back to the home
screen of the large screen.
4. Tap to unlock more operations, such as enable
or disable the microphone and camera and adjust
the volume and brightness.

• Recommended OS versions:
◆ Android 8.0 or later
◆ HarmonyOS 2.0 or later
◆ iOS 13.0 or later
◆ 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 10, 11

• If Require authorization for mirroring control is
enabled on the web interface, authorization on
the large screen is required when the IdeaShare
client initiates mirror & control for the first time.

Peripherals
Use OPS
The Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) is an optional
hardware for the large screen. The OPS has a built-in Windows
10 or Windows 11 Enterprise operating system and can be
automatically activated after being powered on and connected
to a network.
Method
When installing or uninstalling the OPS positioned at the large
screen's back, ensure that a hard shutdown is performed for
the large screen's power button; otherwise, the OPS may be
abnormal. If the OPS is installed during device power-on,
perform a hard shutdown and power on the OPS again before
using it.
The large screen supports the HarmonyOS and Windows
modes.
• HarmonyOS (default): The OPS is presented as an app
on the large screen. In this mode, you can tap the
Windows icon in the lower left corner of the home page to
access the OPS.
• Windows: The large screen is used as the display to
display the OPS only. To switch to the Windows mode,
choose Settings > Advanced > System > System
Mode in the lower right corner of the home page. In this
mode, you can swipe from the left edge of the screen to
the right to display the setting page. Tap Advanced to
switch back to the HarmonyOS mode.
Note
• Using the built-in microphone:
In the Windows mode, swipe right from the left edge of
the large screen to display the shortcut operation page,
choose Advanced > Camera & Microphone Settings,
and select OPS first.
• Using the software keyboard: In Windows, choose
Setting > Devices > Typing > Touch keyboard and
enable Show the touch keyboard when not in tablet
mode and there's no keyboard attached toggle.
• Security settings: Choose Settings > Advanced >
Advanced Settings Password in the lower right corner
of the home page and set a password, which is
required for accessing advanced settings in
HarmonyOS or Windows mode.
Peripherals
Controller
You can configure the Controller and Controller receiver for
the large screen. The Controller is used to perform routine
operations on multiple types of endpoints and provides
convenient control functions.
Method
The USB Mode is set to the HarmonyOS mode. Choose
Settings > Advanced > Input/Output > USB > USB
Mode and select HarmonyOS mode. Insert the Controller
receiver into the USB Type-A port at the lower right corner
of the screen to receive signals from the Controller. It
provides the following functions:
• Sleep/Wake up (not supported in Windows mode)
• Turn to the previous page
• Turn to the next page
• Laser pointer (supporting the click function)
• Enable/Disable the microphone (not supported in
Windows mode)
• Mute/Unmute (not supported in Windows mode)
• Enable/Disable the camera (not supported in
Windows mode)
• Increase the volume
• Decrease the volume
Note
In projection mode, the Controller can be used only with the
Type-C wired projection, IdeaShare Key, IdeaShare, and
Huawei Cloud Meeting projection scenarios.

Voice Tracking:
• When a participant speaks, the camera automatically
takes a close-up of the speaker. If no one speaks, the
focal length of the camera is automatically adjusted
based on the number and locations of participants to
display the panoramic view of all participants at a site.
• Voice tracking supports two-person conversations.
When two persons speak in turn (such as A-B-A mode),
the large screen will trigger a conversation mode.
➢ Split-screen display: When two persons are far away
from each other, the large screen displays the close-
Conversation mode: up images of the two persons in two panes.
➢ Combined display: When two persons are close to
combined display each other, their close-up images are combined to
display on the large screen.
Auto-Framing:
With this function, the camera automatically adjusts its focal
length based on the number of participants and their
locations to display the panoramic view of all participants at
a site.
Track out of conference and Quick Tracking:
These functions are supported on the IdeaHub ES2 Plus.
• After Track out of conference is enabled, the intelligent
Auto-Framing tracking function is still available when an endpoint has
not joined a meeting.
• After Quick Tracking is enabled, only the wide-angle
lens is used to implement intelligent tracking.
Smart Functions
Acoustic Baffle
When the acoustic baffle function is enabled
during a meeting, noise outside the invisible
sound wall at the local site can be effectively
reduced to prevent impact on remote sites.
Method
In the lower right corner of the home screen,
choose Settings > Smart Functions >
Acoustic Baffle and enable the function. After
this function is enabled, you can adjust the
sound pickup range for the acoustic baffle.
The sound pickup distance is 6-meter.
The following figure shows the sound pickup
range.
Note
The acoustic baffle is not supported in the
following situations:
• An external microphone or camera is
connected to the large screen.
• Dual audio channels have been enabled for
the current meeting.
• AUDIO IN echo cancellation has been
enabled on the web interface.

Customization and Demo
You can customize the HiBoard.
Method
1. Swipe right on the home screen to enter HiBoard.
2. In the lower left corner of the HiBoard, tap
Background.
3. After selecting a background template, edit
the text in the template.
4. After the editing is complete, tap Show to
display the page in full screen.
Note
• HiBoard customized background images can
only be selected from the large screen's local
directory or a USB flash drive. The image
format can be .bmp, .jpg, .jpeg, or .png.
• When adding a customized background, ensure
that the image resolution does not exceed 8K
and the image size does not exceed 30 MB.
You are advised to add an image with the
aspect ratio of 16:9. Otherwise, the image will
be scaled proportionally.
• Tap Reset to restore an edited template to its
initial state.

Change Wallpaper
You can change the wallpaper on the
home screen. Wallpapers include the
built-in wallpapers and newly imported
wallpapers.
Method
Method 1: Touch and hold the wallpaper
of the home screen.
Method 2: Choose Settings > Wallpaper
> Set Wallpaper in the lower right corner
of the home screen to change the
wallpaper.
Note
To import new wallpapers, delete some
existing ones and try again. The imported
wallpaper must be in JPG, JPEG, or PNG
format. 1080p and 4K images are
supported. The image size cannot exceed
8 MB, and the resolution cannot exceed
4500 x 2500. You are advised to import a
16:9 image; otherwise, the image will be
stretched.

Customize Home Screen Apps
You can customize the app icons on the
home page.
Method
In the lower right corner of the home
screen, choose Settings > Advanced >
App > Permission Control, and enable
Permission Control to allow anyone to
customize the home screen on this device.
• Method 1: Tap and hold an app icon on
the home page, and tap .
• Method 2: Swipe left on the home
page to go to the app list, tap and hold
an app icon, and tap Customize
Home Screen.
Note
• A maximum of six app icons can be
displayed on the home page.
• The content displayed may vary
depending on large screen
configurations and models. The actual
page prevails.

Download App
The AppGallery gives you access to countless
third-party apps.
Method
1. Before downloading an app, ensure that the
network is connected and the large screen can
access the Internet.
2. Swipe left on the home page to enter the app
list, enter AppGallery, search for and
download the app, and install it.
Note
• By default, HUAWEI AppGallery is not
displayed on the large screen sold outside the
Chinese mainland. To display it, choose
Settings > Advanced > Apps > Hide Apps
and disable AppGallery. Then the app will be
displayed on the Apps screen.
• Other download methods: On the Apps page,
tap Browser to search for and download
apps. Alternatively, import the installation
package to the large screen using a USB
flash drive. Then tap File Manager, find the
desired installation package, and install the
app.
• You may encounter browser compatibility
issues on some websites. If an issue such as
a video playing error occurs, use another
browser.

Multi-Window
By opening apps in split-screen mode, you
can use two apps concurrently to improve
efficiency.
Method
1. Open an app that supports split-
screen mode on the large screen.
2. Tap Multi-Window icon in the
sidebar options to enable split-
screen mode.

Note
Not all apps support this function. The
Multi-Window icon is available only for

Open Whiteboard
You can create a whiteboard or open a
historical whiteboard by scanning the QR code
or locally.
Method
• Creating a Whiteboard: Tap the
whiteboard icon on the home screen to
create a whiteboard.
• Opening a Historical Whiteboard: In the
lower left corner of the whiteboard, choose
File > Open > Local or USB storage
device, and select a whiteboard.
• Scanning the QR Code to Open a
Whiteboard: In the lower left corner of the
whiteboard, choose File > Open > Scan,
and use the scanning function of a
mapping mobile client to open the
whiteboard file.
Whiteboard
Canvas & Pen
You can select different canvases and
pens to write on the whiteboard.
Method
• Setting the Canvas: Click Settings
and select a whiteboard
background.
• Setting the Pen: Tap the pen icon
on the toolbar to set the pen type,
color, and thickness.
Note
Pen types include Pencil , Pen ,
Highlighter , and Smart Pen .
Whiteboard
Erase
You can select different methods to erase
or clear all based on the size of the area to
be erased.
Method
The erase methods are as follows:
• Expand your palm to erase content in a
large area.
• Clench your fist to erase content in a
small area.
• Tap eraser and use your fingertip
to erase content in a tiny area.
• Tap eraser and select Clear
to clear all content on the current page.
Whiteboard
Select & Zoom
You can circle an area of handwriting or graphics
to move, zoom in/out, or delete it.
Method
Select: Tap and circle an area to move, zoom
in or out, copy or delete content or change the
color in the area.
Zoom: The zoom and co-author icons are in the
same position. When either is enabled, the
function will be displayed at the bottom of the
whiteboard.
Zoom allows you to zoom in or out anywhere
on the whiteboard, and co-author allows two
people to write concurrently. Tap to switch to
zoom, and vice versa.
Canvas expansion: In zoom mode, the
whiteboard supports unlimited canvas
expansion. After a user writes or operates an
element, the whiteboard automatically
expands the canvas for unlimited creative
space.
Note
In zoom mode, co-authoring is not available.
The canvas can be expanded for multiple times.
Each expansion is centered on the writing or
operation element, and a screen size is expanded
up, down, left, and right.
Whiteboard
Insert
You can insert shapes, images,
and other objects from favorites
on the whiteboard.
Method
Tap Insert on the whiteboard
toolbar and choose:
• Shapes: You can insert eight
common shapes, such as
square, triangle, and circle.
• Images: You can insert a local
image and crop it as needed.
• Favorites: You can insert
handwriting, shapes, or
images from the favorites. You
can also add handwriting, a
shape, or an image to the
favorites by one tap.
Whiteboard
Co-Author
After Co-Author is enabled, two
people can write on the whiteboard at
the same time.
Method
The zoom and co-author icons are in the
same position. When either is enabled, the
function will be displayed at the bottom of
the whiteboard.
Zoom allows you to zoom in or out
anywhere on the whiteboard, and co-
author allows two people to write
concurrently. Tap to switch to zoom,
and vice versa.
Note
During co-authoring, the page cannot
be zoomed in or out.
Whiteboard
Smart Pen
After Smart Pen is enabled, text is
converted into printed text and shapes
into basic shapes. You can delete any
content with gestures.
Method
1. Enabling Smart Pen: Tap Settings
and enable Smart Pen.
2. Selecting Smart Pen: After Smart
Pen is enabled, the smart pen is
by default, which can convert written
text to printed text. You can also tap
the Smart Pen icon and switch the
pen to so that shapes can be
converted into basic shapes.
3. Gesture Deletion: Draw a straight line
or wavy line through the text to delete
it.
Note
• The supported shapes of Smart Pen
include straight lines, arrows, circles,
ellipses, squares, rectangles, and
triangles.
• In Smart Pen mode, co-authoring is
unavailable.
Whiteboard
Global Annotation
When you use the annotation function
of the large screen, the screenshot of
the current page is added to the
whiteboard and the whiteboard is
automatically opened. You can
customize annotations or save and
take away the annotations.
Method
• Tap the button on the right of the
large screen, tap Annotate.
• Gesture: Swipe a certain distance
(no more than 1/3 of the screen)
from the lower left corner or lower
right corner of the large screen to
the center of the screen and
release.
Note
• After the background is inserted, you
can touch and hold the image to crop
the background.
• You can save and take away the
annotated content.
Whiteboard
Save & Take Away
Whiteboard content can be saved or taken away
in three modes: Save, Scan, and Mail.
Method
1. Setting the Whiteboard: The whiteboard
content can be saved or taken away only
after related configuration is complete. On
the home page, choose Whiteboard >
Settings > Advanced, enable Save
Whiteboard, More and QR Code Scan.
2. In the lower left corner of the whiteboard
page, tap Share, or tap File and choose
Save.
Note
• Save: After Save Whiteboard is enabled, you
can save the whiteboard content locally or
export the whiteboard content to a USB flash
drive (in .cwb or .pdf format).
• Scan: Use the scan function of the mobile
client (Huawei Cloud Meeting, WeChat or
Browser) to scan the QR code on the large
screen.
• Mail: After the email address is configured, the
whiteboard content can be sent via email. In
the lower right corner of the home page, tap
Settings > Advanced > System > Email

Whiteboard
Cross-screen Annotation
You can annotate on the PowerPoint file
on the large screen and save it. A low-
latency writing effect is provided for
common pens.
Method
1. Use the IdeaShare Windows client to
project content to the large screen.
2. Open a PowerPoint file on the
computer and play it in full screen.
3. Tap Cross-Screen Annotation in the
lower right corner of the large screen
to annotate on the file, and tap
Eraser to remove the writing.

Method
Tap the meeting icon on the home screen
to go to the meeting screen. Enter the

(#) to join the meeting.

In the Huawei Cloud Meeting network
scenario, you can join a meeting using
the meeting ID or QR code.
Method
• Meeting ID: Tap the meeting icon on
the home page. On the page
displayed, enter a meeting ID, tap
Join meeting, and enter the guest
password to join the meeting.
• QR code: Tap the meeting icon on
the home page to access the
meeting details page. Open the
Huawei Cloud Meeting client, tap
Scan in the upper right corner, and
scan the QR code on the large
screen to join the meeting.
Remote Meeting
Share Content
Share content in a meeting.
Method
• Sharing an app: Tap Share on the
meeting control bar, select the app to
be shared, and tap Share to share
the app screen with the peer site.
• Sharing and projection: If you initiate
projection during a meeting, you can
directly share the projected content
with the peer site.

Meeting Annotation
In a meeting, annotate a screenshot and
share it with remote sites.
Method
After the projection sharing is successful,
tap Annotate in the lower right corner of
the screen to take a screenshot of the
current screen and annotate on it.
After the meeting annotation is enabled,
annotations will be shared with remote
sites in real time.
Note
• Tap Stop Sharing on the meeting control
bar in the lower right corner to stop
annotation sharing during a meeting.

Method
In a multistreaming meeting, tap

portal.

Only on-premises meetings with
multistreaming meeting function

With Bring Your Own Meeting (BYOM), the microphone,
speaker, and camera of the large screen can be used as
virtual peripherals for third-party meeting software installed
on computers or mobile phones.
Method
The following uses the IdeaShare client as an example to
describe how to implement BYOM. For details about other
application scenarios, see Product Documentation >
Advanced User > BYOM.
1. Download and install the IdeaShare client on the
computer. During the installation, select Install BYOM
driver (supported only by the administrator account).
2. In the lower right corner of the large screen's home
screen, choose Settings > Smart Functions and
enable Multi-Device Collaboration.
3. Use the IdeaShare client to connect the large screen
to the computer.
4. After you initiate or join a meeting on the computer,
you can use the microphone, speaker, or camera of

BYOM (Multi-Device
Collaboration with Phones)
After a HarmonyOS device searches for and finds
a large screen and successfully connects to it, the
device can invoke the microphone, speaker, and
camera of the large screen as virtual peripherals.
Method
1. Enable Wi-Fi on the large screen, and turn on
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your phone.
2. In the lower right corner of the large screen's
home screen, choose Settings > Smart
Functions and enable Multi-Device
Collaboration. (If the large screen runs
HarmonyOS 4.0, you also need to enable
Multi-screen Interaction for the large screen.)
3. Swipe down from the status bar of the mobile
phone to open the notification panel, enable
Wireless Projection, and search for and
connect to an available large screen.
4. On the status bar of Wireless Projection, you
can use the large screen's camera, speaker,
and camera via Switch audio/video.
Note
• Upon the first use of multi-device collaboration on
your device, obtain authorization from the large
screen and enter the device connection code.
• Audio and video switching can be performed only
on the phone.
• This function applies only to models that support
the Wi-Fi function.
Projection
Wi-Fi P2P Projection
Based on the Wi-Fi Direct protocol, devices can use the
IdeaShare client to implement peer-to-peer connections as
long as Wi-Fi is enabled.
Method
This method applies only to Android, HarmonyOS, and Windows,
and the IdeaShare version must be V6.19.0.32 or later.
1. Download and install the IdeaShare client on your mobile
phone or computer.
2. Enable Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct on the large screen, and
turn on Wi-Fi on your phone.
3. Enter the large screen projection code on the mobile
phone or computer client. Autocomplete is supported so
you simply need to tap the correct one code from the list
to connect to the large screen. For the first connection,
you need to confirm the connection on the large screen.
4. On the client, click Share Screen to start screen
projection.
Note
• This function applies only to endpoints that support the
Wi-Fi function.
• Android and HarmonyOS phones cannot use
mobile hotspot and Wi-Fi P2P at the same time.
You need to disable mobile hotspot first.
• The following operating system requirements must be
met: Windows 10.0.10240.0 or later, Android 8.0 or
later, and HarmonyOS 2.0 or later.
Screen Projection
Mobile Client Projection
On the mobile client of IdeaShare or Huawei Cloud
Meeting, enter the projection code displayed on the large
screen to project content from a mobile phone to the large
screen.
Method
1. Search for the client name such as IdeaShare or
Huawei Cloud Meeting in the app store of the mobile
phone, and download and install the client.
2. Set the network.
Method 1: Connect your phone and large screen to
the same LAN.
Method 2: Keep Wi-Fi enabled on your phone and
large screen

3. Use either of the following for projection:
• IdeaShare: Enter the projection code and choose
Share Screen > ALLOW.
• Huawei Cloud Meeting: Tap in the upper right
corner of the app, enter the projection code, and

DLNA Projection
Project the content from the multimedia player on the
phone to the large screen wirelessly over DLNA protocol.
Method
1. On the home screen of the large screen, tap Projection.
On the displayed screen, tap in the upper right
corner, choose Advanced, and enable Multi-Screen
Interaction.
2. Connect your phone and the large screen to the same
LAN.
3. Open the Gallery app on your phone, select a photo,
and choose More > Project in the lower right corner of
the photo to search for available large screens.
4. From the search list, select an available large screen
device to start projection.
Note
• One of the following network connections is required
to implement DLNA projection:
✓ Connect the mobile phone and large screen to
the same Wi-Fi network.
✓ Connect the large screen to a wired network
and the mobile phone to the large screen's
hotspot.
✓ Connect the large screen to a wired network
and the mobile phone to a Wi-Fi network,
where the wired and Wi-Fi networks are on the
same LAN.
• When your phone functions as a hotspot to provide
network access for the large screen, DLNA
projection is unavailable on the phone.
• Required operating systems: Android 7.0 or later,
iOS 9.0 or later, HarmonyOS 2.0 or later.
• Wi-Fi-related functions apply only to endpoints that
support the Wi-Fi function.

Cast+ Projection
Project the content from the phone to the large screen
wirelessly over Cast+ protocol.
Method
1. On the home screen of the large screen, tap Projection.
On the displayed screen, tap in the upper right corner,
choose Advanced, and enable Multi-Screen
Interaction.
2. Enable Wi-Fi on the large screen, and turn on Wi-Fi and
Bluetooth on your phone.
To enable Wi-Fi on a large screen, tap Settings in the
lower right corner of the large screen's home screen,
choose Advanced > Network Connection > Wi-Fi, and
enable Wi-Fi.
3. Swipe down from the status bar to open the notification
panel, then swipe down again to show all shortcuts,
enable Wireless Projection, and search for available
large screen devices.
4. From the search list, select an available large screen
device to start projection.
Note
• Upon the first use of Cast+ manual projection on
your device, obtain authorization from the large
screen and enter the device connection code.
• When your phone functions as a hotspot to provide
network access for the large screen, Cast+ manual
projection is unavailable on the phone.
• Required operating systems: EMUI 10.1.0 or later,
HarmonyOS 2.0 or later.
• This function applies only to endpoints that support
the Wi-Fi function.
Screen Projection
Projection with Miracast
This function allows you to project content from
Android and Windows devices to a large screen in
wireless projection mode.
Method
1. Keep Wi-Fi and WLAN Direct enabled on the large
screen, and enable Wi-Fi on your phone.
To enable Wi-Fi and WLAN Direct for a large screen,
go to Settings > Advanced > Network Connection >
Wi-Fi from the lower right corner of the large screen's
home screen.
2. On the home screen of the large screen, tap
Projection. On the displayed screen, tap in the
upper right corner, choose Advanced, and enable
Multi-Screen Interaction and Projection with
Miracast.
3. Connect your device to the large screen.
Phone projection: Select an available large screen from
the search list and start projection.
Computer projection: Method 1: Press Start+K or
+K on your keyboard to access the cast page, and select
the display to be connected. Method 2: In the Settings
dialog box, go to System > Display > Multiple displays
> Connect to a wireless display and click Connect.
Note
• When your device is connected using the
Miracast projection function, you need to confirm
the connection on the large screen.
• When your phone functions as a hotspot to
provide network access for the large screen,
Miracast projection is unavailable on the phone.
• Required operating systems: Android 8 or later,
Windows 10 or later.
• This function applies only to endpoints that
support the Wi-Fi function.
Screen Projection
NFC OneHop Projection
Place your NFC-enabled phone close to the NFC sensor
area of the large screen. After success connection, you can
project your phone screen to the large screen.
Method
1. Earlier version on the large screen: Enable Multi-screen
Interaction or Multi-Device Collaboration.
HarmonyOS 4.0 on the large screen: Enable Multi-screen
Interaction.
(To enable multi-device collaboration, tap Settings in the lower
right corner of the large screen's home screen, choose Smart
Functions, and enable Multi-Device Collaboration.)
2. Enable Wi-Fi on the large screen, and turn on Wi-Fi and
Bluetooth on your phone.
To enable Wi-Fi on a large screen, tap Settings in the lower
right corner of the large screen's home screen, choose
Advanced > Network Connection > Wi-Fi, and enable Wi-Fi.
3. Swipe down from the status bar to open the notification panel
(you can continue to swipe down) and turn on NFC. Place the
NFC sensor area (camera area on the back) close to the NFC
sensor area.
4. After successful sensing, follow instructions on the large screen
to determine whether to trust the device to enable projection.
Note
• Upon the first use of NFC OneHop projection on your
device, obtain authorization from the large screen.
• When your phone functions as a hotspot to provide
network access for the large screen, NFC OneHop
projection is unavailable on the phone.
• Required operating systems: EMUI 11.0.0.150 or later,
HarmonyOS 2.0 or later.
• The multi-device collaboration function applies only to
HarmonyOS 2.0 and later versions.
• This function applies only to endpoints that support the
Wi-Fi function.
• The position of the NFC tag (in the lower left corner or
lower right corner of the endpoint) may vary, but
functions are the same.

Use a cable to connect a computer (or phone)
to a large screen and share images from the
computer (or phone) to the large screen.
Method
1. Connect the large screen.
Type-C cable: You can use a Type-C cable
to connect the computer (or phone) to the
large screen.
HDMI cable: You can use an HDMI cable
to connect the computer to the large
screen.
2. After the connection is set up, you can start
projection.

• The Type-C cable projection is available
only when your computer and phone use
the port that is USB 3.1 or later and
supports audio & video transmission as
well as the used cable supports audio &
video transmission.
• During projection, if the length of the
Type-C cable is less than or equal to 2
m, reverse control is supported by
default. If the cable length exceeds 2 m,
you need to set Camera & Microphone
Settings to Disable to support reverse
control.

On the PC client of IdeaShare or Huawei Cloud
Meeting, enter the projection code displayed on the
large screen to project content from a PC to the
large screen.

1. Open huaweicloud.com on the PC, search for
IdeaShare or Huawei Cloud Meeting, and
download and install the client.
2. Set the network.
Method 1: Connect your PC and large screen
to the same LAN.
Method 2: Keep Wi-Fi enabled on your PC and
large screen.

3. Open the client:
• IdeaShare: enter the projection code displayed on
the large screen, and tap Share to start projection.
• Huawei Cloud Meeting: tap projection icon in
the upper right corner, enter the projection code on

IdeaShare Key Projection
You can use the IdeaShare Key to project from computer
without downloading any projection software.
Method
1. Insert the IdeaShare Key into the large screen, wait until
Pairing successful message is displayed, and then
remove the IdeaShare Key.
2. Insert the IdeaShare Key into the computer.
3. After the blue indicator of the IdeaShare Key (Type-A) is
steady on in low brightness or the white indicator of the
IdeaShare Key (Type-C) is steady on, press the
IdeaShare Key button to start projection. Then, you can
press it again to stop projection.
Note
• IdeaShare Key (Type-A): If you use it for the first time,
you need to install the IdeaShare Key software to
connect the large screen.
• IdeaShare Key (Type-C):
➢ If the Type-C port on the computer supports audio
and video transmission, you can directly connect
the computer to the large screen without installing
the IdeaShare Key software. In addition, no dialog
box will be displayed in the lower right corner of the
computer.
➢ If the Type-C port on the computer does not
support audio and video transmission, the
computer can be connected to a large screen only
when the IdeaShare Key software is installed.
• To install the IdeaShare Key software, perform the
following steps:
➢ Windows: On the home screen after you click My
PC or This PC, double-click the drive or double-
click IdeaShare Key.exe in the drive path to
manually complete the installation.
➢ macOS: Double-click IdeaShareKeySetup in the
IdeaShareKey drive path on the desktop to
manually complete the installation and
authorization.

Reverse Control
You can control your phone or PC on
the large screen during projection.
Method
After the projection is successful, tap the
reverse control icon in the lower right
corner of the large screen to control the
phone or PC.

Mirror & Control
After the IdeaShare client / IdeaShare Key (Type-C) is
connected to a large screen, you can use the mirror &
control function to control the large screen.
Method
The IdeaShare client is used as an example.
1. In the lower right corner of the large screen's home
screen, choose Settings > Smart Functions and
enable Multi-Device Collaboration.
2. Connect the IdeaShare client to the large screen.
For details, see Mobile Client Projection.
3. After the connection is successful, tap Mirror &
Control on the client to perform simple operations
on the large screen, such as annotate, go back to
the previous screen, and go back to the home
screen of the large screen.
4. Tap to unlock more operations, such as enable
or disable the microphone and camera and adjust
the volume and brightness.

Use OPS
The Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) is an optional
hardware for the large screen. The OPS has a built-in Windows
10 or Windows 11 Enterprise operating system and can be
automatically activated after being powered on and connected
to a network.
Method
When installing or uninstalling the OPS positioned at the large
screen's back, ensure that a hard shutdown is performed for
the large screen's power button; otherwise, the OPS may be
abnormal. If the OPS is installed during device power-on,
perform a hard shutdown and power on the OPS again before
using it.
The large screen supports the HarmonyOS and Windows
modes.
• HarmonyOS (default): The OPS is presented as an app
on the large screen. In this mode, you can tap the
Windows icon in the lower left corner of the home page to
access the OPS.
• Windows: The large screen is used as the display to
display the OPS only. To switch to the Windows mode,
choose Settings > Advanced > System > System
Mode in the lower right corner of the home page. In this
mode, you can swipe from the left edge of the screen to
the right to display the setting page. Tap Advanced to
switch back to the HarmonyOS mode.
Note
• Using the built-in microphone:
In the Windows mode, swipe right from the left edge of
the large screen to display the shortcut operation page,
choose Advanced > Camera & Microphone Settings,
and select OPS first.
• Using the software keyboard: In Windows, choose
Setting > Devices > Typing > Touch keyboard and
enable Show the touch keyboard when not in tablet
mode and there's no keyboard attached toggle.
• Security settings: Choose Settings > Advanced >
Advanced Settings Password in the lower right corner
of the home page and set a password, which is
required for accessing advanced settings in
HarmonyOS or Windows mode.
Peripherals
Controller
You can configure the Controller and Controller receiver for
the large screen. The Controller is used to perform routine
operations on multiple types of endpoints and provides
convenient control functions.
Method
The USB Mode is set to the HarmonyOS mode. Choose
Settings > Advanced > Input/Output > USB > USB
Mode and select HarmonyOS mode. Insert the Controller
receiver into the USB Type-A port at the lower right corner
of the screen to receive signals from the Controller. It
provides the following functions:
• Sleep/Wake up (not supported in Windows mode)
• Turn to the previous page
• Turn to the next page
• Laser pointer (supporting the click function)
• Enable/Disable the microphone (not supported in
Windows mode)
• Mute/Unmute (not supported in Windows mode)
• Enable/Disable the camera (not supported in
Windows mode)
• Increase the volume
• Decrease the volume
Note
In projection mode, the Controller can be used only with the
Type-C wired projection, IdeaShare Key, IdeaShare, and

When two persons speak in turn (such as A-B-A mode),
the large screen will trigger a conversation mode.
➢ Split-screen display: When two persons are far away
from each other, the large screen displays the close-

Auto-Framing:
With this function, the camera automatically adjusts its focal
length based on the number of participants and their
locations to display the panoramic view of all participants at

These functions are supported on the IdeaHub ES2 Plus.
• After Track out of conference is enabled, the intelligent
Auto-Framing tracking function is still available when an endpoint has
not joined a meeting.
• After Quick Tracking is enabled, only the wide-angle
lens is used to implement intelligent tracking.
Smart Functions
Acoustic Baffle
When the acoustic baffle function is enabled
during a meeting, noise outside the invisible
sound wall at the local site can be effectively
reduced to prevent impact on remote sites.
Method
In the lower right corner of the home screen,
choose Settings > Smart Functions >
Acoustic Baffle and enable the function. After
this function is enabled, you can adjust the
sound pickup range for the acoustic baffle.
The sound pickup distance is 6-meter.
The following figure shows the sound pickup
range.
Note
The acoustic baffle is not supported in the
following situations:
• An external microphone or camera is
connected to the large screen.
• Dual audio channels have been enabled for
the current meeting.
• AUDIO IN echo cancellation has been
enabled on the web interface.

You can customize the HiBoard.
Method
1. Swipe right on the home screen to enter HiBoard.
2. In the lower left corner of the HiBoard, tap
Background.
3. After selecting a background template, edit
the text in the template.
4. After the editing is complete, tap Show to
display the page in full screen.
Note
• HiBoard customized background images can
only be selected from the large screen's local
directory or a USB flash drive. The image
format can be .bmp, .jpg, .jpeg, or .png.
• When adding a customized background, ensure
that the image resolution does not exceed 8K
and the image size does not exceed 30 MB.
You are advised to add an image with the
aspect ratio of 16:9. Otherwise, the image will
be scaled proportionally.
• Tap Reset to restore an edited template to its
initial state.

Change Wallpaper
You can change the wallpaper on the
home screen. Wallpapers include the
built-in wallpapers and newly imported
wallpapers.
Method
Method 1: Touch and hold the wallpaper
of the home screen.
Method 2: Choose Settings > Wallpaper
> Set Wallpaper in the lower right corner
of the home screen to change the
wallpaper.
Note
To import new wallpapers, delete some
existing ones and try again. The imported
wallpaper must be in JPG, JPEG, or PNG
format. 1080p and 4K images are
supported. The image size cannot exceed
8 MB, and the resolution cannot exceed
4500 x 2500. You are advised to import a
16:9 image; otherwise, the image will be
stretched.

App > Permission Control, and enable
Permission Control to allow anyone to

The AppGallery gives you access to countless
third-party apps.
Method
1. Before downloading an app, ensure that the
network is connected and the large screen can
access the Internet.
2. Swipe left on the home page to enter the app
list, enter AppGallery, search for and
download the app, and install it.
Note
• By default, HUAWEI AppGallery is not
displayed on the large screen sold outside the
Chinese mainland. To display it, choose
Settings > Advanced > Apps > Hide Apps
and disable AppGallery. Then the app will be
displayed on the Apps screen.
• Other download methods: On the Apps page,
tap Browser to search for and download
apps. Alternatively, import the installation
package to the large screen using a USB
flash drive. Then tap File Manager, find the
desired installation package, and install the
app.
• You may encounter browser compatibility
issues on some websites. If an issue such as
a video playing error occurs, use another
browser.

By opening apps in split-screen mode, you
can use two apps concurrently to improve
efficiency.
Method
1. Open an app that supports split-
screen mode on the large screen.
2. Tap Multi-Window icon in the
sidebar options to enable split-
screen mode.
