Router has network received from BGP peer and announced to another BGP peer. After adding static route to this network BGP process on router stops to advertise it.
If there are multi routing protocols deployed on single router which is the best in the routing table based on the AD value , and bgp just advertise the effective bgp route, so after you configure the static route to same destination, bgp process will think that same bgp route wouldn't be optimal and not advertise yet.
The BGP Speaker only selects the best one for its own use and only advertises the routes used by itself to its neighbors.
For the routes obtained from EBGP, the BGP Speaker will advertise them to all its neighbors
(including EBGP and IBGP), for the routes obtained from IBGP, the BGP Speaker will not advertise them to its IBGP neighbors.
Huawei BGP process on router checks the whole routing table before advertise bgp route, not bgp routing table.
Our router different from Cisco routers in this question (cisco continues to advertise route in this case). So keep this in mind.
