The files of LPU board on slot 1 are the latest version, and would be reserved!
Startup download for LPU board on slot 1 finished.
1. For the problem, it needs to use jtag to upgrade the epld of LPU. During the upgrade, it needs to know the type of the LPU and the type of fad (it is lpua or lpub, or it is fadb or fadc). The command line for upgrade is:
<B02-2>upgrade lpu jtag 1 cfcard:/b022.cc lpub_epld
<B02-2>upgrade lpu jtag 1 cfcard:/b022.cc fadb_epld
<B02-2>upgrade lpu jtag 1 cfcard:/b022.cc fadc_epld
2. You could use serial port to upgrade the software; alternatively, JTAG is also available. Such a problem could be solved by upgrade of software.
Use JTAG to upgrade as follows:
<Quidway>upgrade lpu jtag 3 cfcard:/b02e.cc lpub_
<Quidway>upgrade lpu jtag 3 cfcard:/b02e.cc lpub_bootrom
<Quidway>upgrade lpu jtag 3 cfcard:/b02e.cc lpub_bootload
The information indicates that the load succeeds, so the problem should be independent of the software of whole system.
In locating the problem that interface board fails to register, first check if the loading succeeds; if not, it includes the some reasons, and we could troubleshoot as follows:
1. The epld of interface board or that of fad does not match, and the LPU fails to get the type of the equipment (check the information tthrough connecting to the interface board by serial port). The problem is caused because the version of epld is not correct, and the interface board cannot get the slot number of MPU and itself, so it cannot communicate with MPU.
2. It is because the softare of interface board is not upgraded correctly, similar to the problem above. The current version supports automatic load of software for the whole system. However, if the software for LPU is not upgraded correctly, both software will not match, and they cannot load.
