NE80 Fails to Interconnect with AXI520 of J Company through POS Port Because of False Parameter Configurations at Ports

Publication Date:  2012-07-27 Views:  106 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

When NE80 connects to AXI520 of J company through POS ports, the ports are up, bu the link layer protocol is down.

Alarm Information

Check the port information at NE80:
Pos2/0/0 current state: up
Line protocol current state: down

Handling Process

1. CRC of NE80 is set to 32, and it cannot be changed, so we have to change that of AXI520 to 32.
2. At the ports of NE80, execute the flag c2 207 command; the link layer is up, realizing the interconnection.

Root Cause

1. The CRC of POS port of NE80 is fixed as 32 which cannot be changed; that of POS port of AXI520 is defaulted to 16.
2. The C2 flag of POS of NE80 is defaulted to 0x16; that of AXI520 is defaulted to 0xcf(207).  The flags of POS ports at both sides do not match CRC, and the link layer protocols cannot be up.

The fags of POS ports and CRC of equipment from different vendors differ to each other, and it is suggested to confirm and modify the relevant parameters.
